Brilliant!

Have already tried several of the recipes, which are clear and relatively easy to prepare.
You need to get some unusual ingredients for authenticity, but there is a comprehensive list of suppliers (street and online) in the book.

Obviously, it is only a selection of the recipes from the TV programmes, but there are plenty from each country to try.

It's up to their usual fun and enjoyable standard.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product, but NOT for the 191EL Pro, 26 April 2012

Good standard pack of staples from Tacwise. They work well, but beware that the information in the 'Product Description' is incorrect as the 191EL Pro can only take staples up to 30mm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smart, excellent quality and well-fitting, 6 Mar 2011
I've owned this for about 6 months now and still find the jacket a pleasure to wear. It's smart, well-fitting and very well made and often attracts positive comments from other people.
The fasteners close firmly and don't come undone, the zip feels like it will last forever and there are enough pockets to suit everyone. The exterior repels water well and the lining is cosy, although not overly warm.
Barbour have an excellent returns service (should you ever need it) and will even re-proof your product for you at a reasonable price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Series, 6 Mar 2011

Brian Cox is a very enthusiastic and easy to watch presenter. He communicates knowledge easily, so this series has something for everyone, beginner to those more familiar with the subject area alike. The editing and excellent use of specialist imaging really helps to bring to his narrative to life.

The Blu-ray version shows spectacular detail and is definitely worth the money.

I was a big fan of the late Carl Sagan and his TV series, Cosmos, first shown in 1980. Wonders of the Solar System comes the closest of any programme since Cosmos to being perfect.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and well made, 8 Nov 2010

Having only paid £21, I was a little apprehensive about the build quality, but after emptying the contents of the box on the floor, the first thing that struck me was how sturdy and well made the parts were.
I had the cloche assembled in under 10 minutes and was pleased by the fit of the component parts (they are quite tight). Everything was secure and the finished product is straight and has no wobbles.
The plastic cover seems fine and you can order new ones if they get damaged. To sum it up, it looks like it will last.

I have ordered a fleece top for extra winter protection.

I've used this about 20 times now and it still goes through brick / block walls like a knife through butter. Good value for money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite simply, a very good product, 10 Oct 2008

This USB memory stick does exactly what it is supposed to. It is named as an 8GB stick, because that is the standard convention for memory size and the preloaded software is removed easily if you don't want it. It looks good and so far has performed well. I've used several SanDisk products before and they have all given me years of good performance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cosmos, one of the best, 4 Sep 2007

Excellent DVD set, just be aware that they are NTSC and not PAL as stated in the Amazon description. They are however, Region Zero. The quality of the box set is excellent as was the series. There is little I can add to the plaudits awarded to the original series other than it still inspires me to this day. UPDATE. After contacting Amazon, they have now listed the DVD correctly as NTSC.

4.0 out of 5 stars Light, smart and very handy, 5 Mar 2007
A very sleek, lightweight and whisper quiet external hard drive. The power is taken from the USB port, so it is extremely useful not to need an additional power supply. I use it to back up and transfer files between my desktop and laptop and it normally travels around in the laptop bag. I use XP and no extra software is needed, thus making it ideal to swap files with other computers at home or work. It would have been nice to have a soft case to protect the shiny black plastic from marks and scratches, but apart from that everything is just fine. I don't use the backup software that comes with it, so I can't comment on that. Recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good all round product, 23 Mar 2005
I've used Pinnacle software before but this is a first time with the hardware and I can truly say that I'm impressed. Firstly, it easily caters for both analogue and digital inputs; very useful if like me you want to transfer some old home movies to DVD/CD. Secondly it gives you the ability to output to an analogue or digital device, again useful for burning back onto a tape. Thirdly it comes with USB and Firewire cables, printed manuals, has a resolution and framerate (720 x 576 @ 25 fps) high enough to produce top quality end results and finally it looks damn good!
The software is excellent, but as with anything of this quality, there is a lot to get your head around, so read the manual and use it to it's full potential. Overall it's worth the money if you are going to use it enough.
