Beautiful Story-telling, 13 May 2013
When an author writes about their own life they rarely hold my interest. So many get so caught up in their own life's story and they lose objectivity about what will actually be interesting for the reader to read. Angus Kennedy, however, has managed a feat that few others have in my experience. He told his story, but kept me enthralled throughout. The pace of his story-telling is near perfect and he artfully creates clear visuals for the reader. The pages seemed to come alive in my mind's eye as I read. This book is a beautiful trek through the cycle of life and death, and, while it doesn't appear to be his objective, he certainly touches on spiritual themes from a very real and grounded point of view. Highly recommended!
