5.0 out of 5 stars Stephanie McIntosh-Tightrope, 17 Nov 2006
This review is from: Tightrope (Audio CD)
Stephanie McIntosh is best known for playing Sky Mangel in Neighbours and so she inevitably decided to launch a singing career. Thankfully she's more Delta Goodrem than Holly Valance. She doesn't have a strong a voice as Delta's and isn't as involved with the writing process (writing only the first track) but Tightrope is an album to rival the likes of Kelly Clarkson and Avril Lavign musically. Tightrope is full of rock edged pop like the singles Mistake and Tightrope and the album only really slows down with the closing track The Night Of My Life which is a bit sloppy. All in all, Stephanie McIntosh probably won't have a prolonged career in the music industry but at least she has released a strong, addictive debut.

5.0 out of 5 stars Alive And Kicking!!!!, 25 April 2006
This review is from: I'm Not Dead (Audio CD)
P!nk returns with her best album yet! I'm Not Dead mixes the emotional lyrics of Missundaztood with the hard rock edge of Try This to create an excellent record.

The album tackles political issues with DEAR MR PRESIDENT, social issues with STUPID GIRLS and having a good time with CUZ I CAN.

Unlike her other albums this album is sort of half ballads and half up-tempos, displaying her vocals in songs such as NOBODY KNOWS and showing her attitude in songs like U+UR HAND.

If I'M NOT DEAD is anything to go by, P!nk will continue making records for years to come and rightly so!!!

Best Trax:

1. Cuz I Can

2. Runaway

3. Dear Mr President

4. I Got Money Now

5. Centrefold

5.0 out of 5 stars Animation Magic!!!!, 24 Mar 2006
This review is from: Spirited Away [DVD] (DVD)
Spirited Away tells a story about a young girl named Chihiro, who gets lost in the world of the spirits. With her parents turned into pigs, Chihiro has to work at a bath house for spirits while trying to find a way to save her mum and dad.
Not only does spirited away have an enchanting story it is also supported by beautiful animation and an extraordinary range of characters.
I would recommend this film to kids and to adults because regardless of your age you will be mesmerised by this wonderful story!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Slick R&B!!!!, 24 Mar 2006
This review is from: Toya (Audio CD)
If you like albums with minimal ballads and lots of up-tempos then i recommend Toya's debut album. As well as have a sweet voice Toya also has big production with songs that still fresh nowadays as they did 5 years ago. With only one ballad on the album (Moving On), the rest of the music is slick up-tempos with catchy melodies and snappy lyrics!!!
Top Tracks:
1. Book Of Love
2. What Else Can I Do
3. Think
4. How Can I Be Down
5. Messed Up

5.0 out of 5 stars Not So Jagged!!!!, 20 Mar 2006
To celebrate 10 years since the release of the massive Jagged Little Pill album Alanis has reworked the songs into a more relaxed style. This version of the album doesn't have the same shine as the original but it isn't in any way worse. Some of the songs such as All I Really Want and Hand in my pocket actually sound better than the orignal versions. Whereas tracks such as Forgiven and You Oughta Know seem to lack the touch they used to. All in all most of the mid-tempo tracks sound more or less the same anyway and with an album like Jagged Little Pill you can't go wrong either way!!!
Best Tracks:
1. All I Really Want
2. Hand In My Pocket
3. Ironic
4. Not The Doctor
5. Wake Up

5.0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC!!!!!, 20 Mar 2006
I first heard of Shakira through her album Laundry Service and since then i have bought all her other albums. Out of all her albums this is probably the best. It contains funky-pop-rock tracks like Ciega, Sordamuda,Se Ti Vas and Donde Estan Las Ladrones as well as the incredible ballad Tu. Even if you don't speak a word of panish i recommend this album. With music this good it doesn't really matter if you can't understand what she's singing!!!!
Best Tracks:
1. Tu
2. Inevitable
3. Ciega, Sordamuda
4. Sombra De Ti
5. Ojos Asi

5.0 out of 5 stars Shakira's English Return!!!, 20 Mar 2006
This review is from: Oral Fixation Vol 2 (Audio CD)
Oral Fixation Vol.2 is Shakira's first english album since Laundry Service in 2002. If you liked Laundry Service, chances are you'll like this. Oral Fixation is in very much the same stlye as Laundry Service with it's funky-pop-rock songs such as Animal City, Don't Bother and Costume Makes The Clown. There is also more versatility on this album from the pop-dance of Timor to the Beatles-esque Hey You. Whereas not as good as her previous album Fijacion Oral Vol.1, Oral Fixation is still an excellent album!!!
Best Tracks:
1. Costume Makes The Clown
2. Hey You
3. Your Embrace
4. How Do You Do
5. Dreams For Plans

5.0 out of 5 stars Just As Good As Brandy!!!, 29 Dec 2005
This review is from: The Boy Is Mine (Audio CD)
Out of the two it's usually Brandy people talk about but Monica proves she's more than just Brandy's shadow with this excellent album. The Boy Is Mine is full of smooth R&B hits with vocal-challenging ballads.
My Top Tracks Are:
1. Street Symphony
2. Angel of Mine
3. The First Night
4. Cross The Room
5. Gone Be Fine
