4.0 out of 5 stars Perfectly serviceabe thriller, 23 Jan 2013
This review is from: The Racketeer (Hardcover)
If that sounds damning it's not meant to. This is no masterpiece but a thoroughly good read none the less, just don't expect too much from it and you won't be disappointed.

2.0 out of 5 stars hugely disappointing, 23 Jan 2013
I;ve never read one of Kuzneski's books before and was intrigued to read this based on the marketing and hype around it, hoping to find a new author to enjoy. This was reinforced by the fact he obviously has his fans here. Unfortunately I was so underwhelmed, the writing is poor, the plotting lame and the characterisation one dimensional. References to the A-Team are appropriate and puzzling - do people who read thrillers really have the mindset of 13 year old boys?

4.0 out of 5 stars Girlie fantastic, 30 Aug 2012
These are just perfect for writing pretty little shopping lists, for those notes explaining to the owners of the cars I've hit that I just don't understand spacial awareness and for turning all those dots above i's into the most adorable smiley faces ever. My only complaint being that so many of them seem to leak monthly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Man's a legend, 5 Jun 2012
Ok, he can be a bit of **** at times, but you gotta love his attitude to life and honesty in his book. It's hugely entertaining and so refreshing to read a biog from someone who is not frightened to say what he thinks.

Nutmeg & Custard: Enjoy great food at home with Britains's finest chef

3.0 out of 5 stars 3/4 good. 1/4 disappointed, 2 May 2010
I was looking forward to this book big time - and while it's a solid, practical choice for the home chef. The last quarter of the book is a huge disappointment, I kid you not when I say it's full of popcorn and ice cream recipes. Cheap and lazy filler, that leave a sour taste in the mouth (forgive the pun, I just couldn't resist)

Terre a Terre: The Vegetarian Cookbook

1.0 out of 5 stars One of those books to be kept on the coffee table and out of the kitchen., 2 May 2010
I was looking for a more practical cook book to help inspire me with vegetarian cooking. Unfortunately this is not it. It's a pity as the food here looks good, but there's little here for the home cook to emulate. Unfortunately it's one of those cook books that flatter the ego of the people involved and offer nothing to the reader. Massively dissapointed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Hardly relevant for home cooking, 2 May 2010
This is a beautiful book and the recipes are full of inspiration - that's the good points. But it's not really practical and so if you're looking for a recipe book you can use at home, give u carry on looking.

The Graphic Eye: Photographs by International Graphic Designers

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful on many levels, 11 Dec 2009
I guess you could describe the premise behind this book as, how does a graphic artist view the world? And it's a brilliant one. Anyone who has an appreciation for or an interest in either graphic design or photography will get much from this book. The challenges of the graphic designers to move outside of their comfort zone and attempt something new should be congratulated, even if some results aren't as successful as others, although it would be unfair of me to mention those and leave it to you to find out. And it's not an exaggeration to say, it's given me a greater appreciation for both photography and graphic design.

5.0 out of 5 stars Come on guys, you were so beautiful together, 21 May 2009
This review is from: A Whole New World (Audio CD)
My heart breaks at hearing the news that the two muscial geniuses behind this album have split. I can't help thinking that if they could just get together and listen once more to this masterpiece of pure love that they might once more find true happiness together.

Here's hoping this opius will reach out and touch this two generous souls, after all the overwhelming all consuming joy that they've brought to so many of us surely deserves to be visted upon them, if only for the future of music.

2.0 out of 5 stars A WORD OF WARNING, 14 Aug 2003
On the whole, this company produces decent products that are both informative and fun for little babies/toddlers.
However, having bought several discs from this company before, where they had been redubbed with UK voice overs, it was a real pity to discover that this was not the case with this disc.
As I have no desire to bring my son up as a pseudo yank this made this disc almost useless.
