4.0 out of 5 stars Some Super Healthy Wisdom!, 3 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a great book for anyone that wants a healthy lifestyle! Diets really do not work, you need to change the way you eat into a healthy one. First and foremost Dr Graham is a living example of his work, he is very fit & healthy. Many high performance athletes follow his "Health System".

The book offers great advice, explains the why of things and offers some great healthy recipes and meal plans.
I don't buy all what he says but most of it.

Ultimate Flexibility: A Complete Guide to Stretching for Martial Arts
Ultimate Flexibility: A Complete Guide to Stretching for Martial Arts
by Sang H. Kim
Edition: Paperback
Price: £15.30

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Book on Flexibility, 27 Mar 2014
Flexibility is not only a very beneficial thing for martial artists but for everyone. I have a number of books written by Master Sang H. Kim and I find them always very instructive.

This book offers explanations into not only how to do certain exercises (with photos) but also WHY.
Another title for this boo could have been "Yoga for Martial Artists", as it does offer lots of exercises familiar to anyone doing yoga.

I sue this as a defence book for my own flexibility workouts. The dvd that he does is also very instructive.

Secret Journey To Planet Serpo: A True Story of Interplanetary Travel
Secret Journey To Planet Serpo: A True Story of Interplanetary Travel
by Len Kasten
Edition: Paperback
Price: £11.19

3.0 out of 5 stars Humans Travel to Another Planet with Aliens..., 24 Mar 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
An interesting read about a group of humans sent by the US government on an alien ship to the planet Serpo for 13 years. The author claims this story to be true. True or not it is an interesting read and does make you think if something like this may have happened.

A good read for anyone into conspiracies, UFOs, scifi and space travel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tells the 'True Story' of the New age Movement & It's Hidden Agenda, 28 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Gary Ede has put together a "Masterpiece" of research in this must read book for not only America but every person on this planet.
His research is very sound and not 'airy-fairy' like most conspiracy books.
He talks about how both hidden and not-so-hidden forces have come into play to destroy America.

Gary's whole theory on the 2012 U.S. Presidential elections is very well researched and brings facts to the table to prove that Mitt Romney actually won the election. So why did Obama win and how? You are going to have to read the book to find out...

The whole analysis of the "New Age" movement and how it is in reality 'evil driven' and very anti-Christian is all well presented.
I really hope this book gets into the bookstores and that Gary gets plenty of TV coverage. The message is clear and there is a lot Americans can actually do to get their country back ontrack. it all starts one person at a time!

A Book About Innocent: Our Story and Some Things We've Learned
A Book About Innocent: Our Story and Some Things We've Learned
by Innocent
Edition: Paperback
Price: £12.91

5.0 out of 5 stars A Refreshing Book, just like the juices, 28 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a very refreshing book, just like the Innocent juices.
It is amazing to see how difficult it was for these three friends to set-up this business. They went to see many investors and with no experience in running a business, no experience in the juices world they pulled it off.
In the book they share their journey and the secrets to their success.

There were on a mission and were determined to succeed. They were open minded all the way and kept improving things ion order to achieve success. I find the ideas in the book and the inspiration of the story valuable insight into creating wealth.

The Crash Course: The Unsustainable Future of Our Economy, Energy, and Environment
The Crash Course: The Unsustainable Future of Our Economy, Energy, and Environment
by Chris Martenson
Edition: Hardcover
Price: £12.91

4.0 out of 5 stars Providing Solutions, 30 Jan 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Chris Martenson has a bit of an academic approach/analysis style in writing which means you have to concentrate a bit when reading. The info and analysis is very well done of the present status of the economy and the future scenarios and above all what we can do to be ready and profit.

He talks about demographics and how the whole economy relays on oil to survive. Chris doesn't see any new technology coming on the market in the near future that can change the game. I don't agree with this part of his analysis because the rate of change compared to 15-20 years is accelerating. If stuff like Zero point energy turns out to be real we could be living in a very different world in the next 10-15 years.

I liked the personal bit where Chris talks about relocating his family to a rural area and why and what criteria they used to choose the location.

This book was suggested to me by Robert Kiyosaki and his Roundtable and overall I'd say it gives you a good read into the economy.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Wise Approach to Leadership Development, 19 Dec 2013

First of all I do not agree with author that you can train a person to become a leader. However, i also do not agree that leaders are born, not trained. My view is that some people come into the world with the seed of leadership within and because of circumstances and/or opportunities they never rise to their potential. As the late business guru, Jim Rohn always said: " You can't send a duck to eagle school".

Ian Jolliffe's book in my view is for companies to use in finding those people in their teams that have the seed of leadership within and help them blossom into the leader they were designed to become.

The author talks about important characteristics a leader must have: honest being top of the list. I agree 100% because trust is the currency of the 21st century and this starts with being honest. Ian Jolliffe goes onto list and explain other traits a leader must develop such as courage, being able to make decisions, confidence, sound judgement, approachable, organised, not perfect & people focused.

He then makes a very wise statement a number of times throughout the book: "Take out the emotion but maintain the passion".
This is something I have found VERY useful in business and in people management.

He then goes onto list some very useful checklists and templates to use in developing your team. one of these been weekly or monthly one to one interviews where the first question is about them and how their family is.

The book is a quick read and I reckon a valuable tool for leadership development. I highly recommend ian Jolliffe's work, another Stephen Covey in the making!

This is a great read for both teenagers and adults. faced pace, good plot and interesting characters. If you liked Harry Potter you will like this. It's kind of a sci-fi version of the Harry Potter books.
