3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite as I'd hoped, but still an exceptional phone for the price., 27 Nov. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Firstly, it was delivered from DracoTek in less than a week, which was much better than expected.

I was under no illusions that this would be any comparison with the genuine S4 but I was swayed by at least one previous reviewer who said that they had brought a genuine S4 back cover replacing flip case and it fitted. This led me to hope that the form factor would be near enough to use S4 docks/cradles/cases etc.
I can confirm that this is most definitely not possible. This phone is 5mm longer, 3mm wider, and more importantly 2mm thicker and 38g (29%) heavier. In use this doesn't matter much, but if, like me you carry it around in a shirt or trouser pocket it feels like it is constantly tugging at you, which I never experienced with the s4 or my previous phone the s2. It seems churlish to complain at this price, but it is annoying.

The other noticeable thing is the screen. Many other reviewers have praised it, but I was able to compare it alongside my s2 and images are washed out and misty by comparison. It was particularly pronounced on Google maps satellite view; where the s2 shows a clear, crisp image the S9500 looks like the images were taken on a foggy day. Even when the screen is off, it appears grey alongside the s2's black. Resolution is perfectly adequate for a 5" screen, however. It is similar to the s2, but unsurprisingly no match for the s4.

A few weeks earlier I purchased a ZTE blade3 for someone else at a similar price to this. The S9500 is a vastly superior phone. Again, not a match for the s4 in terms of CPU/RAM, but it has been smooth and responsive in use which the ZTE is not. There are one or two bugs that have appeared - occasionally it would start randomly opening multiple apps or making repeated notification sounds, or continuously sliding the home screen sideways. I turned off gesture control which seems to have fixed it. The smart flip cover which came with it (and works well) tends to keep switching the screen on when it moves in a bag or a pocket, which must impair battery life.

The battery life is the most impressive thing. My s2 would need a recharge after 9 hours at work, but this only dropped from 100% to 82% in a similar time. However if you use it a lot the battery life does drop pretty swiftly. In conclusion, this phone is very good value compared to others of similar price, but if you're used to a top end android be aware that the differences could make it difficult to live with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, 30 April 2013
This review is from: Cressi Adult Dry Snorkel (Sports)
Really can't fault this snorkel. Last time I owned one decades ago I was always breathing in water through the tube because it either leaked through the mouthpiece or the float valve was not very good.
This works! The valve at the top of the tube shuts off if you go too deep with little or no ingress of water, and at the bottom of the tube near the mouthpiece is a device that drains any water you accidentally get in the tube through the mouthpiece.
Brilliant, and highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Faultless, 29 Mar. 2012
They say in some sports that you can tell a referee is excelling at his job when you don't notice his presence. The same is often true of technology, and is certainly true of this adapter. Plug'n'play - connect it up and windows 7 even correctly identified a legacy VGA monitor attached to it - no need for manual drivers, software, adjustments or anything, and has worked so well since; I forgot it was there. Would purchase again without hesitation.
