1.0 out of 5 stars Did not work on arrival, 16 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Needed this fairly quickly for an exhibtion. Paid for fast delivery.
When it arrived it did not work. Laser pointer worked - so it gets one point for that. But the transmitter did not communicate with the USB plug. Tried on both Win8.1 and Win 7 systems so it's definately the device.

Have returned for a refund. Won't bother to re-order.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good replacement for Asus charger, 13 April 2014

This is the charger Asus should have supplied. Works as needed, longer cable so you can work with it when charging. And it doesn't suffer from the plug unit connector problems of the Asus unit.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful musical "journey", 30 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a superb selection of songs covering Duncan Brownes (sadly shortened) musical career. I agree with one of the reveiwers that the longer version of Criminal World (as on the Metro album) would have been preferable on this, but, perhaps, if it gets re-issued it'll appear.

I originally listened to Duncan Browne as Metro (when it was first released). It was only a few years ago that I came across his earlier work - finding 2 CDs for a couple of pounds in a shop in the Highlands of Scotland (coincidently, shortly after I'd been researching him and his music). Since than I have managed to track down all his CDs and still have the original Metro vinyl.

"Journey" is a great introduction to the skills and poetry of Duncans music as it progresses over the years and, may, move listeners to look for the albums from which these songs are taken.

IMHO this collection, as well as his other "rare" albums, deserve to be re-issued. I have contacted Universal Music (the current custodians of the labels that released Duncan Browne music) about this but been ignored. Perhaps if a large enough group of people contact them it'll happen....

5.0 out of 5 stars Performs well but very overpriced., 22 April 2013

As you'd expect from the manufacturer the ink perfoms well (mostly) - had a few splashes on some pages over the past couple of months but generally performs well with a variety of papers. Photo quality is good as well.

However, also as expected from HP, they are very, very expensive. It's a pity HP don't provide more (initially) expensive printers and drop XL cartridge prices to under 5.00 (all colours). Then, maybe, a lot of people wouldn't feel they were being ripped off. (I know it's not just HP!).

Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball - Graphite [UK Model]
Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball - Graphite [UK Model]
Offered by M.T.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect replacement, 30 Nov 2012
Bought this after my previous LogiTech Trackball gave up the ghost and I'd tried another Logitech (Trackman).

This Trackball is now an indispensible tool on my desktop system and has performed without problem for over 6 months. I use it in parallel with a Logitech wireless keyboard and there have been no problems with interference or loss of signal.

I now find it very difficult and slightly annoying to use normal "scoot across the desk surface" mice.

A great little device that has probably reached its optimal implementation (at least, as far as my operation of it is concerned).
Possibly slightly pricey - but it's helped get rid of pains in wrist and hand so I consider this good value in the long run.

Logitech - please keep producing this or similar style Trackballs! A good design does not need changing for the sake of fashion (whatever your marketing department may say!).

5.0 out of 5 stars A well designed cover, 19 Dec 2011

Like the other reviewers my experience of this case is positive.

I have the tablet plus keyboard unit - however, I mostly use the tablet by itself. The case is robust and protects the tablet in day to day usage (carrying with other stuff in a bag/briefcase) and looks good.

As others have mentioned the cut-outs are all correctly aligned for access to controls, ports etc.

One reviewer mentioned the lack of accessibility for the charging connector when the case is closed. I see this as a plus - this "micro" connector is the most important for a) charging and b) connection to the keyboard. Having the connector covered most of the time will help keep it safe.

IMO a neat well designed case for the ASUS transformer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Size ?, 7 Sep 2011
Is this item actually the size stated by Amazon? I'm looking for a small heater for use in a camper van and the stated size means this would be perfect:
As stated and confirmed on the Amazon description: W132xD130xH385mm
That is: Width 13.2 cm (5.2 inch) Depth 13 cm (5.1 inch) Height 38.5 cm (15.2 inches)

WOULD SOMEONE FROM AMAZON CONFIRM THIS SIZE BEFORE I PURCHASE !

4.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the "tin", 29 Oct 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Does what it's supposed to. Helped get rid of mildew spots on my LPs. But I ignore the instructions and spray directly onto the vinyl and wipe firmly in direction of grooves - seems to lift most of the grunge off.

My one niggle is that it could do with more cloths - after 20 records mine is already covered in the mildew/record dirt and I'm less than 25% through the bottle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it !, 29 Oct 2010

This review is from: From The Discworld (Audio CD)
Just bought this CD (hadn't been aware of it before now - despite liking Greenslade and Pratchett) - only found it when I was looking for Greenslade CDs to complement my vinyl.
Been playing it when I'm working and really enjoying it. For me Pyramids stands out. But everyone will have their own favourite(s).

Well worth the price...

Pro-Ject Debut III/Phono USB Turntable
Pro-Ject Debut III/Phono USB Turntable

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply superb, 11 Sep 2010
Like the previous reviewer I bought this turntable (direct from the UK Pro-ject distributor) to copy a lot of vinyl LPs to digital format. Many of these are not available in CD format so I wanted to get a good quality turntable to do the job. Since I bought this one in spring 2009 I have transferred a good number of LPs - rediscovering my music of the 70s and 80s.

I'd looked at all the usual sub 150 suspects and found the reviews conflicting on many of them - some looked like they'd been designed for use on the Mars space mission. Whereas the Pro-Ject seemd to be designed by audiophiles for audiophiles!

The kit: Good solid turntable base, simple to set up (easy to follow instructions), once set up there's only the on/off switch! (unless you need to change from 33.3 to 45 rpm - which involves the belt). This is not a turntable for people who like lots of buttons and controls.

The turntable comes supplied with a good variety of high quality gold plated connectors allowing connections to an audio system as well as the USB port on your computer. Just now I have it playing an LP through my media system whilst recording onto my laptop (I use Acoustica's excellent "Spin it again" software to record and extract the tracks).

In short: If you're more interested in getting quality in your music (whether you're playing it direct or copying your LP collection) than impressing your X-Factor obsessed friends then the Debut III is worth serious consideration.
