Sounds are a bit cheap and nasty but I'd only want the typical "ding dong" anyway.

Nice and loud to hear, easy to set up... what more could you ask for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic puzzle game, 17 Jan. 2015
This really is a great little game for all ages. The puzzles start of pretty easy but get more challenging as you progress. The game is kept interesting by having many challenges for each course (finding the three gems, completing the stage challenge, collecting as many coins, completing under a certain time etc) and the fact that if you own Super Mario Bros. 3D World you get to explore a selection of levels from that game as Toad the treasure tracker! Its tough not being able to jump!

This is another typical Nintendo quality game. An experience you don't find anywhere else. Well worth every penny.

The controller is a fantastic addition to the Wii U collection. Feels amazing in your hands and the buttons are extremely responsive... Basically a typical well built Nintendo product.

The battery is unbelievable, been using it for a few weeks on one charge... It lasts a long, long time! (80 hrs is the official estimate).

At this price if say it's a must buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars A journey you will never forget..., 1 Feb. 2013

Growing up as a child in the 80's it was hard not to have been exposed to the film "The Neverending Story". The film captured the hearts and imaginations of all those who watched it, including mine.

Now that I have grown up I can still remember the story like the back of my hand, but with a few details missing in my mind. Instead of ordering the film to re-live the story, I decided to get the book instead. Since I had not read it I was unaware of how different this book is.

First off, the film only follows Atreu's journey within Fantasia (called Fantastica in this copy) which is covered through the first half of the book. Atreu's journey is so much better in the book and far more exciting. The world of Fantasia really comes alive through the people he meets and the different monsters he encounters (a great example being Ygramul the Many)

The second half of the book is where the adventure really began for me. It was almost like, when you finish a book and you want it to just keep going forever, this book actually managed to do that. You get to the point where the film ends but you still have half the book left to read... and what a journey it is.

The writing style is obviously aimed at young people and can be distracting at times, however this may be due to it being translated from German? Either case it doesn't take away the magic of this story. This is a true fairytale and is such a joyous read that will stretch your imagination to make you feel that you really are a part of the Neverending Story.

A must buy for fans of the film and of true fairytale adventures.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, with a capital FUN!, 11 Dec. 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
So I preordered the day it was announced on the 'ND' and was eagerly anticipating its release for months.
Launch day came, YODEL/HDNL failed to deliver parcel (stole it) and was replaced by Amazon so got it next day.

After downloading the huge update and installing something every time I tried an app, it was ready.

All I can say to sum up my experience thus far is "wow".

Tried out NintendoLand first and was immensely impressed by the quality of the Gamepad gyroscope. Feels seamless and natural when moving it to look around.
The game itself can be played with just one player (6 of the games are solo only and out of the 12 only 3 are co-op only) but without gamer friends it can get slightly monotonous. Not sure why online play wasn't included!
This game shows new ways to play using the Gamepad and has some very promising ideas!

Miiverse is my favourite feature thus far, it's like a mixture between twitter, Facebook and GameFAQs. You can use it whilst the game is running and post screenshots which enables you to talk about the game and ask questions about specific parts, or even make hilarious drawings!

The eShop is useful, but disappointing. The price of retail games is far higher than from other retailers. ZombiU costing £54.99 as an example. Hopefully this will eventually even itself out ...

Overall the features and experience and excellent. Graphically it's not a huge leap from the current PS or XBOX, but is a huge leap from the Wii.
After playing for over a week it's safe to say the graphics are not what makes this system impressive. It's the entire experience, which is incredibly fun! And when I say fun I mean FUN! Games like ZombiU show how the Gamepad can establish a new atmosphere and create new, fresh experiences!

If you are a true gamer, or just someone who isn't a stuck up fanboy of other consoles you will really enjoy this machine!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 10 July 2012
If you liked the Thick of It or In the Loop you will seriously enjoy this show. Although no where near as aggressive as TTOI, the humour and language is still of a high quality. Although you can't really relate the characters to anyone who is actually office (unless it was an alternate universe where Sarah Palin actually was the Veep) it still manages to pull you in to it's universe. Well Done Armando... Well done HBO!
