This review is from: 1984 (Audio CD)
When everyone talks about the big eighties rock bands, people always forget Van Halen. I bought 1984 from here a year ago because I heard Eddie VH is a great guitarist. The best thing is that that's only a part of it. Dave Lee Roth was one of the best showmen of the 80's, and I really appreciated the whole synth-rock thing which I think is too rare nowadays, when people are all too obsessed with trying to look "sixties". This album shines with it's power and light heartedness, particularly Top Jimmy, Drop Dead Legs and the classic video Hot for Teacher. Panama is an underrated song which has so much power when you see today's rock stars trying to look really understated. If you're interested enough to look up 1984, then it's definitely worth the buy.
