For students on a tight budget this book will be an asset. Photographs jump off the page, enticing the reader to make
complete meals and easy accompaniments. A wide variety of recipes and sensible advice about "Keeping it Veggie"
and "Clever Cooking". Recipes for everyday and entertaining friends.

Affordable and comprehensive collection of recipes.Especially liked the loaf cake recipes, rarely found elsewhere.
Lavishly illustrated recipes which will inspire the novice or experienced baking enthusiast to get baking.Useful sections covering equipment for the budget conscious student and techniques and tips in plain English. Made the Chocolate Brownies- easy recipe, excellent result

5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal gift for a Student, 10 Aug 2013
As my daughter leaves home for University in October, this book ( part of a series of three) is a perfect gift for a student. Mouth watering recipes for a limited budget will encourage cooking from scratch and shunning ready meals
or expensive alternatives. The sections "Watching your budget" "How not to poison your friends" gives excellent advice. Clear instructions throughout, with plenty of complete meals without complicated lists of ingredients. We made the Summer Berries and Oatmeal Muffins and they were fantastic
