This review is from: When The Past Arrives (Audio CD)
Phew! The past has arrived...
A lovely, atmosperic album of ambient instrumentals, by these Master mood-musicians. Woo create warm, glowing soundscapes with layers of keyboard sampling, guitars, clarinet and other sounds that wash over you in waves of ambient pleasure. I cannot resist a smile at the subtle melodic experiments and song titles. Just listen to Teddy Bears, Om Shanti or Ruby for a taste of the world of Woo.
Although slightly reminiscent of Can's mellower output, I think Woo are quite unique (there's even a vocal track, 'The Garden Path' which is an absolute delight)...
Other CD releases definitely worth checking out are: 'Whichever Way You're Going, You're Going Wrong' and 'Into the Heart of Love.' I would highly recommend checking out woo-music on band camp, as there are many digital releases by this band that are absolutre gems! They all have that distinctive 'Woo-ness' but are distinctly different.

Worked fine until the piece that connects into the phone just refused to stay in, suggesting it doesn't really fit awfully well. Threw it out (into electrical recycling) and rued the day IO bought it. Waste of money.

5.0 out of 5 stars which is comfortable to wear and seems well-crafted thus far, 13 July 2014

A crisp and stylishly modern looking timepiece, which is comfortable to wear and seems well-crafted thus far. Thoroughly recommended!

Scouring ye shoppes of Brighton and Eastbourne brought me to a sobering conclusion: there is an abundance dull, rather conservative looking watches wearing expensive price-tags and offering very little in the way of "zizz". If "zizz" is what you are looking for, then cast your eye (or both) over the Animal range. Methinks they marry function, fashion and 'fordability in such a way that they are crying out for representation through a 3-circle Venn diagram. Alas, I have not the means or inclination to draw one of these, so consumers must do their best to create such an image in their heads.

The only word of slight caution, is that this is my 3rd Animal watch in 10 years, suggesting that is unlikely you will passing this down your family line as some sort of heirloom. I believe that Animal do fix watches bought through them directly... Having said that, you will note that I love 'em so much that I keep coming back for more! (One on each wrist is currently being considered).

Tim Buckley / Goodbye and Hello

5.0 out of 5 stars Early Buckley soars like a swallow, 14 May 2013

Despite the primness of his fledgling voice, there is real merit in diving into the first Tim Buckley album from 1966, complete with lovely instrumentation and memorable melodies (tracks 1-10). The atmosphere darkens with 'Goodbye and Hello', released the following year, and novice Buckley listeners might need a lie-down after sampling the lengthy title-track.
And if these two albums whet your whistle, why not strip off and dive head first into Happy Sad from 1968? Once initiated you may even fancy floating far out to sea with the ruddy-hard-to-find Starsailor (1971). Buckley has many tricks up his sleeve, so prepare to be dazzled!

Maths on Target: Year 6
Maths on Target: Year 6
by Stephen Pearce
Edition: Paperback
Price: £7.50

4.0 out of 5 stars Packed with challenges., 12 Jun. 2011
As a primary maths teacher, this book is certainly challenging (for the intended year group). It is differentiated to three levels (each target has sections A, B and C to choose from plus a brief explanation at the top of each page)and it is easy to find problems for each target. There is easily a lesson's work for each page and the layout is now divided into Blocks A - E for teachers. The problems are well-thought out and give plenty of ideas for whole-class challenges or to design a lesson around.

Perhaps one slight draw back is the size of print (small) and lack of visual explanations - these pages do not help my students much when they get stuck!

Delivery was very quick. Recommended for the frazzled teacher designing new wheels everyday!

WindsorTech - Sony NWZA818 Video MP3 Walkman mains charger
WindsorTech - Sony NWZA818 Video MP3 Walkman mains charger

5.0 out of 5 stars Has worked perfectly..., 8 Mar. 2011
Having purchased this some time ago, and taking a gamble as there were no other reviews at the time, I am very pleased to say that this charger (specifically for Sony NWZ-A818) works perfectly.

Not only is it at a very reasonable price, it charges the mp3 player fully every time. I have even used it to charge a compltely different Creative Zen mp3 player and it worked for this too (although not advisable perhaps...)

Delivery was prompt, and as other chargers for this player were around the £15-£20 mark, I couldn't recommend it more.
