By Any Means - Back on track, 2 Oct 2008
i had to write this review as i think some of the comments made in previous reviews are unfair.
i loved Long Way Round, so much so that i have watched the whole series over a weekend on more than one occassion.
I was sorely disappointed by Long Way Down, to me and my hubby it pretty much was all about Ewan "i am the movie star" McGregor. They rushed the last couple of episodes and i think there was noticable tension between Ewan and Charley.
By Any Means i think has found Charley in his niche, ok, we maybe don't see so much of the cities he is visiting but this series is about the modes of transport in these different cities. Charley seems more visibly relaxed than he did on Long Way Down and he is really enjoying himself, i find it difficult to not get wrapped up in his enthusiasm :)
So, each to their own but Charley, i think you have made a great programme here, i look forward to watching the DVD and you on your next adventure. :)
