Having cut my own hair for about 15 years now, I have stuck to the electric Wahl clippers. Eventually I got fed up of setting everything up, plugging in the extension leads and using the 8 different clip sizes. I got myself these Philips hair clippers for a few reasons, and have never looked back. Reason one, these clippers have a L-io battery, it lasts longer, charges quicker and doesn't develop that memory that often batteries do. Reason two, no electric cable in the way, no need for setting up extension lead etc. And reason 3, It has an adjustable clip for your hair.
It comes with 2 clips, one does very short to medium lengths, and the other larger clip does medium to long cuts. The measurements are in mm as apposed to clip sizes. It works out to about 3 x the mm. By that I mean, 3mm on the philips is a No. 1 clip size. 6mm is a no.2 and 9mm is a no. 3 and so on. It takes a bit of getting used to but is straight forward.
People comment about these clippers not cutting evenly. I would say thats purely down to cutting too fast and only going over your head once. I cut slowly and go over the same spot at least 3 times. In doing so I ended up with an extremely neat haircut. The convenience of having no cord + adjustable length clip makes the cutting hair experience great. Plus with it being so light, it is effortless.
I recommend these clippers to anyone.
