I have owned a couple of these over the last 10 years, purchased mainly because of the Gibson brand and its looks as an iconic guitar. Unfortunately i think most people purchase these with the same opinion. However these guitars are overpriced and do not have the Gibson quality of years gone by. Very heavy (if you play seated be prepared for dead legs) Playability and sound are passable but ultimately there are much better guitars out there for less money than this.

I bought two of these - one from here and one from my local official jacuzzi supplier. The price of my local supplier was £30 and here it was £32. The official filter is of much better quality and so future replacements will be from there not here.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'd heard conflucting reviews of this product and early tastings were less than impressive - however after a year in the bottle, 5 Aug. 2014
I was really sceptical of producing home made wine but after the success of home made beer I decided on a punt. I'd heard conflucting reviews of this product and early tastings were less than impressive - however after a year in the bottle the wine is now very drinkable and would easily compete with £7 bottles from the supermarket - some points to note though - you won't get 30 bottles more like 26 - there will be sediment in the bottle - a decanter and a little practice on pouring will soon alleviate this problem. So production of this wine will add up to roughly £2 a bottle - given these days you can't get anything under £7 I will definitely make more such a shame that it takes so long before it's ready !

2.0 out of 5 stars A real mixed bag, 8 April 2014

Lets start by saying where I'm at as a guitar player. I'm roughly grade 3 have been playing for a few years have mastered most open chords - Major, Minor, Barre, 7th etc. Scales wise i practice daily and this for me was where Rocksmith came in, i can find my own way now with rhythm, but lead is a very different beast and it was with this aspect of giutaring that i wanted to focus on, maybe with some fun along the way with some new songs and i liked the sound of the AI band.

The first thing i noticed was the latency (the delay between playing the notes and hearing it through the system) the lead fixes the problem but it is completely unusable without.

So once i had the lead plugged in i headed for some lessons. I thought that it would get to know my ability so i headed straight for some basic chord lessons. Then for some shifting and some bends. Now i'm no Dave Gilmour but i can bend simple riffs without issue but it just refused to acknowledge the notes i was playing. So a very simple riff that i should have covered in a couple of minutes i found i was spending 20 minutes on at a much slower rate than needed - i just couldn't work out where i was going wrong. So anyway i moved onto a Queen song. Now i can play F as a barre without issue so i just didn't need it to scroll through the song adding a note of the F chord with each cycle - Why not just tell me to play F and save 10 minutes ?

So feeling somewhat disheartened i moved over to the AI band - It's OK i ran through a few improvised scales which it seemed to play along OK to - in some respects though i can get a different backing track of You Tube in no time at all.

So i decided to have a go at another song. It takes me to lessons on E minor - oh come on ! Then into the song and within 30 seconds Amin7/gb - really ?

That was the final straw - i spent a good 8 hours on it but even after that time it had no idea of my ability as a guitar player and couldn't adjust the lessons to fit my ability - and this is it's huge down fall.

5.0 out of 5 stars Question..., 27 Feb. 2014

I have bought this item and am going to use next string change. I have always replaced 3 at a time but to use this am considering taking all the strings off to really get into each fret. Concerned though that this may damage my Suhr S3 pro. Can anyone advise ????

I have been putting up with a fabric strap for the last couple of years that frustrated the hell out of me, always twisting and digging in. I recently upgraded to a SUHR s3 pro and couldn't bring myself to put that old strap onto it so after a fair bit of research went for this one. I'm so glad i did. No twisting at all, very comfortable and the perfect length. The leather is soft and may need some gizmo that you can get from here to reinforce the holes - but if that happens i really dont mind. It's a great strap that in the first few weeks i cannot fault.

Tells you exactly what you need to pass Grade 1 guitar. Grades are generally divided into three all of which are in the book.

1 LEAD GUITAR Gives you 5 scales E natural minor / E blues G Major pentatonic / A Major and A Minor pentatonic.
2 RHYTHM You will need to know most of your basic open chords here and a couple of barre (F and B)
3 THEORY Every guitar players favourite - For G1 you will only need to know the notes on the scales you have learnt

So if you want to take your G1 exam this tell you the questions !

But the foam will split. I have a dreadnought acoustic and a Les Paul. The foam split on both within a year. This will damage your guitar over time. I bought some handlebar tape to replace it and this has done the job. Other than that though they do the job well.

Brilliant - In every single way, my 10 year old son loved it - until it broke 10 days later. What a shame.
