Bluetooth wireless keyboard hard plastic stand cover case for iPad 2 (white keys)
Bluetooth wireless keyboard hard plastic stand cover case for iPad 2 (white keys)

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value for Money, 28 Feb. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
There are some very expensive solutions for providing a physical keyboard for an iPad and this isn't one of them. It is however excellent value for money, works extremely well and comes very highly recommended.

It fits on my iPad 3 no problem, connects via Bluetooth seamlessly and allows me to type very quickly on the notebook sized keyboard which has "scrabble tile" style keys.

It has a brushed aluminium style case, it's made from plastic as you'd expect at this price but it looks reasonably durable for everyday use. The box comes with a USB cable for charging the battery of the keyboard and the unit seems to hold it's charge for a good amout of time.

It itsn't wide enough to hold an iPad with a rear case or protector on it, so you'll need to take that off before mounting the ipad into the keyboard's tray. Also, with the ipad mounted the keyboard does seem to be a little top heavy, especiallu if you have a Smart Cover on your iPad, the front of thekeyboard does feek like it's liftinng ever so slightly, so could benefit from a little extra counterweight, but this is a very minor gripe.

Overall, for a less than frequent use, I'd say this is a fantastic bit of kit, well worth the money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Shockingly Poor CD - Not Original Recordings, 28 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
Like others, I wished I had read the reviews before purchasing this CD from Amazon; it is not mentioned at all in the album's description that this is a compilation of appallingly badly recorded cover versions of Rose Royce's greatest hits.

To be fair, it doesn't mention it on the cover of the album either, which is, in my opinion, trying to pass itself off as something it is not. I would like to see Amazon withdraw this album from sale, but in the mean time, I will be returning it as it is not the album advertised.

1.0 out of 5 stars Illogical Selection, 11 Jan. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
having bought the Fellowes Printer Drawer unit, I decided to add the extra drawers to it, as it only came supplied with one deep drawer and three shallow drawers.

So thinking that this additional draw pack would fill up the unit, I was surprised to find that it doesn't! I was expecting another deep and one more shallow draw, as the heights of this combination would be exactly what is missing from the original as it's supplied.

What is actually supplied in this additional drawer set is two more shallow drawers, which leaves space for one more shallow drawer! No now I have one gap still in the unit, and I have no intention of purchasing another set of two drawers just to fill the one gap.

They need to sell either a pack of three slim drawers or a pack of two containing one deep and one slim draw - at present this is pointless.

Whoever made this decision to sell this combination at Fellowes clearly doesn't understand logic or aesthetics - so would not recommend this item unless you want your Machine Organiser to look odd.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Value Dual Sim Mobile Phone, 13 Nov. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Having had to carry around two mobile phones is a pain, and I have had this pain for the last six years whilst running two separate businesses as a sole trader. I have been aware of dual sim mobiles overseas for a few years, but taking the risk of purchasing abroad is not for me, aside from an i-phone-a-like mobile bought for a few quid on an auction site. This didn't work, with O2 blocking the handset ID, so it was back to the double phone set up again!

I've kept an eye on dual sim phones, which have been tipped in the UK press to be the next thing to hit the UK markets for the last couple of years - but nothing has really come to pass, and you cannot buy a dual SIM phone in any of the main mobile phone retailers.

I noticed this Samsung E222 here on Amazon for a very reasonable price so took the punt - and I am very happy I did.

Both O2 SIMS were accepted by the phone straight away and despite Samsung's extremely limited manual, you're guided by the phone itself to set up in no time.

It's not a 3G phone, and it does not have WiFi - so don't expect to be surfing the net at high speed. The flip side of this is a extraordinary battery life - Five days of light use and it's still on half battery!

It's a good phone for texting, given the 'Blackberry' style of QWERTY keyboard, the call quality is a tad on the muffled side compared to my iPhone, but you can hear your callers just fine.

Operationally, you can set a different set of sounds for each SIM card; for example I have two distinct ring tones and text alerts for the two numbers, so you know how to answer the phone.

Both SIMs are active during standby...meaning that you don't have to switch between SIMs to receive calls. To make calls, there's a SIM switch button on the keypad so you can select which SIM to dial out on. You can also set the phone to display a different colour theme and wallpaper, again so you can clearly see which SIM is active for calling out with.

The phone is very light, a little smaller than an iphone and much lighter. The screen is fine for everyday calling and texting. A single BlueTooth connection (absent from some of the budget Nokia Dual Sim phones) is useful for handsfree dialling.

If you're on a call on one SIM and you receive a call on the second SIM, the second SIM will send to voicemail as if you were busy on a normal call.

There's apps for chat on Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo etc - I haven't personally set them up or used them. There's a couple of Java games, calculator etc, all the usual stuff.

The box comes with a UK plug charger. There is no wired handsfree kit, you will need wired headphones if you want to use the built-in FM radio. There is also no data cable in the box, but I bought a genuine Samsung one for a couple of quid. It's a standard micro-USB slot on the side of the phone. The phone also takes Micro SD cards if you want to store images etc., again you'll need to buy your own if you want to do this.

This is an advanced basic phone, if that makes sense. If you want a smartphone, this is not for you. For me personally, who just wants to receive two lots of phone calls and texts in one unit, it's perfect.

2.0 out of 5 stars Could Have Been So Amazing, 15 Sept. 2004
If you're a Luther fan (like me) you'll have noticed this album already. At first I thought it was just another compilation of some of his best love songs, but on closer inspection it is actually the 'smooth-jazz' version.
When I say 'smooth-jazz' what I actually mean is 'muzak'. Yes, you too can own the elevator versions of some of Luther's finest. Don't get me wrong, I like smooth jazz, but these are basic cover versions (mostly without vocals other than background karaoke-style backing) and lack anything like the real depth of the originals.
Particularly annoying is Dance With My Father, a sad song that should send a shiver down your spine - but this version is poor, warm and sadly lacking in any emotion (except tedium, maybe).
The notable exception to my disapointment is Lalah Hathaway's version of For Ever, For Always... Lalah is a superb singer and she does perform it with a nice interpretation. This is the saving grace that lets me give the album an extra star!
If you love Luther, I really would be surprised if you liked this. If you like the style of music it offers, you might find solace at your local DIY store!
I would have much rather seen some of Luther's closest friends and singers (Beyonce, Dionne Warwick, Aretha, Gladys Knight, Diana Ross, et al) performed their favourite Luther songs - what an album that would be.

What can I say about a Firewire cable? It works! This is probably the cheapest I have seen one of these. It's good quality, as you'd expect from Belkin and comes with their usual great warranty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Powerful Battery, 10 Jan. 2004
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is the best battery in the range, with a good balance of weight vs power. I recently took a trip to New York, and took plenty of footage on only one charge with this battery. Not only does your camcorder feedback how long is left, but you can also see at a glance how much juice is left on the battery by pressing the button on its body. Does feel a little heavy if I had to be picky, but good value all the same.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fast and informative, 10 Jan. 2004
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is an excellent was of charging your spare batteries without charging them whilst on the body of your camcorder. Whilst it may look a little pricy, it is very fast (much quicker than charging on camcorder) plus you can use it to power your camcorder (but not at the same time as charging another battery).

1.0 out of 5 stars Very poor cover versions on this album, 10 Jan. 2004
This review is from: Back on Track (Audio CD)
Like the previous reviewer, I thought this was the first compilation of the great 80's songs by Modern Romance. Sadly, this is not the case, but poor remakes recorded when the band reformed in 2001.

1.0 out of 5 stars Two live albums and a poor covers one!, 10 Jan. 2004
This review is from: Electric 80's (Audio CD)
I bought this three album box set as it seemed like a good collection of three of the greats of the 80's. How wrong was I?
This box set contains two live albums (Howard Jones and Go West) and a shockingly bad one (Modern Romance) which I thought was going to be all the original 80's recordings. It turns out to be remakes of their greatest hits, when the band re-formed in 2001.
