Words cannot describe just how astounding this album is. It manages to achieve Prog-rock brilliance infused with addictive pop-rock melodies, and beautifully crafted instrumentation. There is not one track on here that could be described as "Filler". From the opening A Capella vocals of "Oh My God" to the tear jerking title track, you just don't want this album to end. Since buying it I have listened to it pretty much non-stop, it really is just an incredible record. The production is marvelous and every member of the band sounds as if they have crafted their parts down to the last second. A true Masterpiece and worthy of recognition alongside any of the classic albums by Yes, Genesis etc. Do yourself a favour and improve your life by buying this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!!, 4 July 2007
This review is from: The Chemical Wedding (Audio CD)
This isn't just an album by one of the finest singers of our time, it is one of the best albums ever! This album makes his work with Maiden seem restrained (and i am a massive maiden fan). Very melodic and intellegent metal with flashes of prog, folk and classical in there. Adrian smith provides a stellar performance and his mastery of song writing shines throughout. The album is so full of harmonies and riffs it's almost too good to believe. I honestly belive this is better than everything maiden have done since seventh son. The production is excellent and bruce's voice works very well with the heavier guitars. Just buy it and make your life better!

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!!, 4 July 2007
This review is from: Just Testing (Audio CD)
This is one hell of an album and among the band's finest efforts. "Living Proof" is an incredibly catchy song with it's pulsing beat and dual harmonies. The band goes back to their blues roots with "Helpless" and "Insomnia". The final track "Lifeline" is a true epic with fantastic performances all round. Wishbone ash guitars are always amazing and this is no exception. Martin Turner's Bass playing is both solid and highly melodic and his soaring vocals are always brilliant.
The production is jagged and hard-hitting and the remaster complements this.
I would reccomend this album to any lover of good music, JUST BUY IT!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars CLASSIC, 4 Nov. 2006
This review is from: 90125 (Audio CD)
First off i admit that initially i did not like this album, like many other fans of classic yes I believed that yes had become a pop band. I soon realised that this is an essential addition to any lover of good music. All the elements that made the Yes of old so good are here, brilliant instrumentation, complex arrangements and superb vocals, (arguably the best harmonies they ever displayed). The entire album is a joy to listen to from the bombastic "changes" to the soaring heights of the multi layered "leave it". "Hearts" is in a similar vein to their older material. The production is massive and i don't think has been matched by anyone else before or since. BUY IT!

This was the first wishbone ash album i bought and i was hooked from the start! This is simply fantastic british heavy rock with guitarists Andy Powell and Ted turner on top form. Bassist martin turner is outstanding(i am personally a bass finatic)and drummer steve upton shines throughout.
Every track falls nothing short of outstanding from the bluesy "blind eye" to the epic heights of "pheonix".
Whether you're new to this band or not, BUY IT!!
