5.0 out of 5 stars Standard issue for any CC fan, 17 Jun 2009
I have been a Cannibal Corpse fan for many years now and i always get anything they release and i am always blown away with every purchase and this is no exception. You get alot of sound for your pound. 3 Discs chock full of goodies. The 3hr docu-history of CC where it tells the story of the members and the bands they were in b4 CC right up to the present is worth it alone. There is so much stuff, Interviews with members past and present, stories from the road, footage during recording (which i always like) along with insights into what the guys do outside the band. not wanting to sound cliched, but I think this really is a must for any CC fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars a solid radio, worthy of the Marshall logo, 1 Oct 2008
This is my 1st DAB radio purchase, being a "metal head", the moment I saw the marshall logo (and the pos reviews here), I knew this was the one. The sound is great, it almost has that "Marshall tone" (guitarists will know what i am talking about) the sound is nice and thick, not "tinny" like some small speaker units. It will go really loud (like, 11 loud), so if you work in a small office or in a mechanics garage it will cover it all.
Its mega easy to set up, the instructions were frighteningly short, but this is due to everything being setup for you already, so the manual is really there if you wish to change display settings etc. Solid build quality, great sound, worth every penny.

4.0 out of 5 stars What St Anger should have been., 14 Sep 2008
I am proabably not gonna add more than what most of the reviewers have already said, i just wanna add my 2cents as a die hard Metallica fan (from Black album and B4). This was Metallicas' last chance with me, if this sucked, that was it. Luckly for them/me it doesnt. this is definatley there best offer since the Black Album. OK it doesnt have the technical prowess of Justice/Puppets. This album works more on being a blunt instrument. I wouldnt say the songs are basic (definatley not St Anger basic),its more about doing more with less (less brushes and more colour) it works very well, plenty of hooks, its very catchy and there is still depth and keeps you interested .It is a stripped down sound but stripped down the right way in which noting is actually lost. the album is very long with very longs songs but they dont feel "justice" long, you certainly dont get bored, its just constant, steady riffing with a peppering of nice surprises with grooves, hooks and heavyness aplenty. I am glad someone else mentioned the production, it does sound like it distorts in places (I thought my Bose speakers were on the blink) but its sounds fine on my Ipod. All in all I am glad i bought this and i will be listening to this for a good while, nice job boys you have held on to this fan

4.0 out of 5 stars The System Has Failed........Megadeth Hasn't!, 19 Sep 2004
This review is from: The System Has Failed (Audio CD)
Back in 1990 I wouldnt have a bad word said against Megadeth to me they were Gods,Rust in Peace, a master Piece, but as it hurts me to say it, their last 4 albums were rubbbish (I even had concerns over Countdown) so i was dubuios whether to part with my hard earned for this, but they (or Mustaine) have come back from the brink "System" is a dam good album, great big, angry guitars (think a more mature "Peace Sells") the album kicks off very aggressive, and pretty much stays there, the other reviewers have said about "Kick the Chair" being good, good!? Its Killer! sounds like it has been lifted off of "Rust" there are a few cheesy songs on there but you let that go, "Mice and Men" I really like even though it aint by far the fasted/Heaviest song on there, They can never do another Rust in Peace, but they did a better job of trying with "System" than metallica (note the small "m") did with St Anger trying to redo "Puppets" or "Lightening". Basically if you are an Old Skool Megadeth fan then you will like this, This is what should have come out after "Rust In Peace" This Sells......So Go Buy It!

5.0 out of 5 stars WAARRRRRRRRHHHH ENSEMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 29 Nov 2003
this is slayer at there very best 20 years and still there after Megadeth and metallica have gone soft slayer are as aggresive as ever, good bonus material (but are some of those people for real?) the only criticism i have is when some of the fans are interviewed they cover what they are saying because it obvously is a bit near the knuckle, well in that case why put it on there? but other than that a must for any self respecting slayer fan

5.0 out of 5 stars welcome home Machine Head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 29 Nov 2003
I was very wary of making a purchase of the latest machine head album because let's admit it the last 2 machine head album have been rubbbish and even though Burn My eyes did for metal in the 90s what Slayers Reign in Blood did for metal in the 80s, the burning red i was very dissapointed with and supercharger i didnt even pick up off the shelf to have a look at, but this is Awesome! back to the sound that we remember on BME the riffs and musicanship i think is better, the riffs and grooves are killer and Flynn Expands and developes what are already catchy riffs, the songs are excellent, prodution crisp and powerful, and it has to be said the Robb Flynn and his new Six stringer have retaken the thrown as the harmonics masters, this is what they should have released after the more things change, if you like the earlier machine this will suite you down to the ground, get it, trust me, and once again we can "LET FREEDOM RING WITH A SHOTGUN BLAST!!!!"

5.0 out of 5 stars an absolutely awesome album, 11 Sep 2001
This review is from: Pathetic Being (Audio CD)
little is known about this 5 peice death metal band from poland but they do know how to write a killer album, falling somewhere in between death and decapitated generes the album doesnt let you pause to get your breath back, guitars sound like chains saws, drums like sledge hammers to the stomach, the vocals are the only questionable fault i can find, somewhere between carcass and dani filth, but a must for any death metal fan. if you like the works of death but want something a little fast but just as technical PATHETIC BEING is your album. good to see there are still bands that still carrying the death metal flag, ready for the throne when cannibal corpse step down. I WILL SAY AGAIN. IF YOU LOVE DEATH METAL, GET THIS ALBUM!
