Pretty Boy Dead, 30 Jun 2010
Not a bad read. The lead character is a black gay man. For me he is a little two dimensional. It was difficult to see what made him tick. The story starts with our main character suspected of murdering his partner - the dead pretty boy of the title. Then we retrace the story of how they met, their life together, their friends and family. Nothing too graphic in the love department. The novel picks up speed as the lead tracks down the killer. This is Hansen's first novel. I prefer one of his later ones: Jack of Hearts.
