5.0 out of 5 stars Football Manager 2005, 12 Nov. 2005
What a game. The most complete managing experience ever to hit planet Earth.
From detailed Finances screens to simple Quick Start modes, this game has something for everyone. Take a club from the top leagues like the Premiership, right down to amateur teams from the Conference South to glory in this fantastic simulation.
The game also features an Editor, allowing you to boost your Non-League team straight into the Football League, as well as making transfer updates for your club.
The match engine is the same 2D screen; and I don't see why people complain. On LMA Manager 2004, which I own, the 3D graphics are FIFA '97 quality and take away the realistic element of the game.
But, beware. You will completely lose your social life if you have any interest in football management and buy this game. You will be completely glued to this wonderful simulation.
Football Manager is new to the management world, as SI Games took their idea away from former publishers Eidos, who went to attract the market with the old Championship Manager title, and not produce a top management sim with new partners Beautiful Game Studios. SEGA have teamed up with SI, and, as usual, SI have delivered.
Buy this game. You'll regret it if you don't.

4.0 out of 5 stars Championship Manager 5, 10 Nov. 2004
Why do people assume that Football Manager 2005 will be better than good old CM? Eidos aren't stupid. They wouldn't dump SI Games if Beautiful Game Studios weren't in their opinion, better than them. I have played FM 2005, and believe me, it's not as good as CM 03-04. There are, however, many improvements to CM5. The rating system is better, with ratings out of 100 so it is more specific. The game is much more attractive and very well laid out. Take a look at the screenshots available and you'll see what I mean. BGS has made over 60 football titles, most very successful. The match engine is now 3D, whereas the FM engine is exactly the same as CM 03-04. The training from CM3 is back - light, medium or intensive thing. And the best thing as my last point - look at the last screenshot. The tactics screen is a good, old-fashoined chalkboard!
Buy CM5, it's the best game of the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Snowboarding Game Ever, 23 July 2004
This review is from: SSX 3 (PS2) (Video Game)
EA shouldn't bother making another snowboarding game - I really don't believe SSX 3 can be beaten. I bought SSX Tricky on my Xbox, but when I sold my Xbox for a PS2 Tricky was the first game I bought. I was glued to it for weeks - never mind the World Championship mode, I was just doing Single Events over and over again, trying to beat my highest Freestyle score. It's the same with SSX 3 but better - it's like your doing the snowboarding on a crazy mountain in the middle of a snowstorm. The added option of Conquer The Mountain is good - in fact so good i've finally been forced off Single Event to try it out. The fact that you can buy new boards and accessories also works well - it makes you want to work for the money - to buy your dream board or a paper bag to stick on your head. This game's main factor is the realism - you feel proud to win a Half Pipe or Race event. Dream game for snowboarders - I even took up snowboarding because of it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Insomniac Does It Again, 19 July 2004
Ratchet and Clank was very good, Locked and Loaded is amazing. This is probably the best action game I have ever played. Major improvements have been made - weapons have been improved and graphics are like walking through the Ratchet and Clank galaxies. Enemies are more difficult to finish - they won't just drop dead on the first shot. Mini games are again included but this time more detailed - as well as there being extras once you have beaten the first one. Instead of just hoverboarding there is now arena fights, battles in Ratchet's ship, and Desert Riders hoverbiking. The cut scenes are also very good - and often quite funny. There is many objectives to one level, which improves the lifespan and makes you want to play it again with the unlocks that come with finishing the game. Also, you always want to have time to explore the levels - not just do the objectives.
Truly brilliant game - 5 stars - 10/10 - 100%.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ratchet and Clank 2, 19 July 2004
I was given the first edition of this game free when I bought my PS2. I wasn't that intrigued by the game but after one level I was immediately glued to it. Ratchet and Clank 2 is like the first game in the series but a whole lot better. Major improvements have been made to a very good game - you can imagine the outcome.
Improvements are:
Graphics are amazing realistic and although this is a futuristic game you can imagine the setting - what every game should give you. The weapons now have upgrades, as well as having added weapons and gadgets. I found the first game quite simple - you will meet some more challenging enemies in this game.
Their is no disadvantages in this game - a must buy for action/adventure gamers.
