4.0 out of 5 stars Nice One, 23 May 2008
This review is from: Life After Quo (Audio CD)
Really good solid album from Alan Lancater ex bass player Status Quo.Alan went down to Australia some years back and was involved with the Party Boys And Lancaster Bombers the songs on this album are made up from these bands.Sound Quality on album is very good and Alan and the boys give 15 tracks of good music, content being some covers, ballads and some mean rockers just listen to his great versions of the John Kongos classic Hes Gonna Step on You Again and the AC/DC rocker High Voltage excellent stuff, plus a modern version of Pictures Of Matchstick Men really good.
All in all a good solid album from Alan Lancaster and life CAN go on after Quo for him.Treat yourself you will enjoy.
Hope review is of help to you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Magnum, 23 May 2008
This review is from: The Eleventh Hour (Audio CD)
Being a huge fan of this fantastic band I have to say this is one my favoutite albums.Sound quality on album is great and you get some extra live tracks as well which are really good.On this album you can here where the band are going with their music, next release was On a Stotytellers Night which we all know was a benchmark album for the band.
If you like early Magnum you have to get this album for your collection,I started mine with the terrific Kingdom Of Madness and its been on going ever since and great its been as well.Check out Chase The Dragon as well also a must.
Hope review is of some help.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Maiden Offering, 17 May 2008
This review is from: The X-Factor (Audio CD)
This is a great album from Iron Maiden featuring new singer Blaze.Sound quality on album superb.Cant believe that some reviewers slag off this album as crap and give low star rateing. This album is pure Iron Maiden thru and thru and I think it is a great Maiden piece of work. The songs are strong and the band are as tight sounding as in all there works.Steve Harris himself was very proud of this album and quite right to its a cracker. The opening track Sign Of The Cross with its intro of gothic chanting is brilliant and leads the way for this powerhouse album.A great edition to my Iron Maiden collection.Hope review is of help to you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Concept Album, 17 May 2008
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This album is very good.Have a few concept type albums and this one is a pleasure to listen to.The sound quality is excellent and the tracks superb.Music is futuristic, spacey, loud.heavy, and rocky in nature.I have quite a large collection of cds and this one is just great.Musicians on album are superb.I think if you like good quality music in concept fashion you will enjoy this album. You could always try and listen to first to make sure this album is appealing to you.Its a double CD so long in nature.
Hope review is of help to you.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Real Classic, 16 May 2008
This review is from: Foxtrot (Audio CD)
This is a really good album from Genesis full of great songs especially Watcher Of The Skies and Get Em Out By Friday. The band have a great tight sound and Peter Gabriels vocals bring it all together.Reason I only give this great album 4 stars is not because of the music but the poor remastering on this epic. The sound is very basy and quiet seems to dominate its way thru album.Feel its about time for a new remaster here this album desreves much better sound quality than this remastered edition, anyway if you like early Genesis this is a cracker for your collection also check out Selling England By The Pound,Lamb lies Down On Broadway and Nursey Chrime all great albums and highly recommended for your collection.Sorry to say this but the remastering on these fantastic albums is also very poor and sub standard,so if you can suffer the poor quality of sound, musically I highly recommend these albums.I hope the record companies look at doing decent future remasters here cos these great works deserve better.
Hope review is of help
Ps.This my favoutite Genesis Album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sounds Great To Me, 10 May 2008
This review is from: Virtual XI (Audio CD)
I really like this album and find it a valuable part of my Maiden collection.Die hard fans of the group probably hate it because Bruce is not singing, sure I can understand this but lets be honest here this is not the crap album that a lot of reviewers make out it is.I found it nice and heavy and feel Blaze did a fine job on on vocals.Maybe best for you to listen to first before you purchase if your not sure but all I can say is I think its great and I play often and say well done Blaze for your help in making a really good solid album with the troops.
Check out Blaze band on Amazon.
Hope review helps you.Virtual X1.
Ps SSSssshhhhhhh.Just go get it,its a great album.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not A Great Album, 10 May 2008
This review is from: Equator (Audio CD)
Afraid to say this is not a great album from Uriah Heep.Sound and production on album is first class, afraid to say its the songs that are the weak point on this album. The songs are just not up to scratch for this great band, they are bland and dont have the typical Heep feel or sound about them.I have 16 Heep albums in my collection and this one unfortunately is on its own.Basically got album to help complete collection but would give this one a miss if your looking for a good album from the band.I would recommend Raging Silence out of the modern Heep era a great rocking album with really good songs or go for the early albums like Demons and Wizards,Magicians Birthday etc,Hope review is of some help to you.

Great album from Uriah Heep quite similar in style to the great Demons and Wizards and Magicians Birthday albums if you like the sound of these two great albums you will enjoy Look At Yourself.Plenty of heavy Hammond organ from Mr Hensley here and songs include the catchy Look At Yourself and the classic July morning.Album has been digitally remastered.A must for your Uriah Heep Collection.Highly recommend.Sound quality excellent play loud.Check out my review on the brand new album Wake The Sleeper its a cracker and a must for your Heep collection
Hope review helps you, please check out my other reviews you might find something of interest.Cheers.

Wonderworld is one of the all time great earlier albums from this super group.Sound quality on this remaster is very good.Songs on the album are in a slighly laid back mode compared to other Heep albums of the era,but dont be put off the songs are great and flow along on a nice even keel. This was the last Heep album to feature the great Gary Thain on bass he unforunately passed away soon after this album, sad but he and the band left a great piece of work in Wonderworld. This is a great edition for your Uriah Heep collection.
Hope review helps you.

This is a great album from the New style Asia in fact out of the 8 albums I own by this super group this is definetely one of my favourites. The remastering by SBV Germany is excellent in fact any artist you see on this label rest assured you will be getting fantastic sound quality well done to this label. The album is full of strong songs and the whole band have made a really good solid album here, compared to other Asia albums like Aura.Aria,Silent Nation etc this album is of a more up tempo nature in sound both in acoustic, electric guitaring and keyboards all in all a great solid album from Asia.If you want to start listening to the new Asia I would start here with this album then next Archiva 1&2 then Aria then just get them all there all great.Dont be put off cos John Wetton is not in this line up trust me Asia sound great and the quality of there music stands up as is.Hope review is of some help to you.
