Rip off apo that should be banned. You pay your £4.99 and it doesn't work. Avoid at all costs. If you could give no stars I would.

1.0 out of 5 stars Style but no substance, 5 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Dreadful piece of rubbish merchandise. I ordered it as a present in September but didn't give it as a present until Christmas. The first time my daughter filled it with water it all poured out from a puncture hole at the bottom. And then it was too late to return. Awful. if there were no stars that's what it would get from me.

1.0 out of 5 stars measurements, 26 Dec. 2013

I spent ages sourcing this product for my mothers's table display. I don't know how these measurements are worked out but they don't match what I expected.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very good novel... and timely warning from history., 11 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Book was originally written years ago I think, but in some ways that adds to its authenticity in capturing the period. Author is right to posit how terrorism in Northern Ireland was, or is, linked to more orthodox criminal practices. There are few characters in the book who can be described as being pleasant, but that's as it should be in a way. One of the better crime thrillers I've uploaded via a promotion.
Things have changed, on numerous fronts, in Northern Ireland since Other People's Blood was first released but the novel still serves as a timely warning from history.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great murder mystery, 15 Oct. 2013
A big fan of crime fiction and the twists and turns in this murder mystery kept me interested the whole way through the novel. The inclusion of characters like Walsingham gave it a firm rooting within the Elizabethan period and the twist at the end made for a very unexpected yet exciting ending. I believe this is the author's first novel and I think it was a job well done. Enjoyed reading A Murderous Affair very much and would recommend as a weekend read for the cold wintery months ahead.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Collection!, 27 Aug. 2013
This is lovely collection of romantic reads. I particularly loved the Spa Day but all were great fun. Summer Loving was slightly different in tone and a bit more serious but it made a nice contrast to the other two. Will definitely be looking out for more from Nicola Yeager!

4.0 out of 5 stars Battles which shaped the modern world and modern warfare., 27 Aug. 2013
By the end of these book you feel that there was an inevitability about the US gaining the upper hand in the Pacific, once their war machine got into gear. But that should not take anything away from the heroism of the US forces during these three significant battles. Freeman is an experienced enough historian to point out the strategic and tactical errors, on both sides, which occurred during the first chapters of WW2 for America. Pearl Harbor is well told, although many will be familiar with the story. Midway was perhaps my favourite title in the trilogy. And Coral Sea is worth reading as in many ways it is a forgotten battle.
These accounts may be of special interest to sailors and fighter pilots too, as in many ways, as the author points out, these battles helped shape the modern world - and also modern warfare.

Baby's First Year

5.0 out of 5 stars Great source of information!, 14 Aug. 2013
This review is from: Baby's First Year (Kindle Edition)
Nicci Talbot covers so many things I wouldn't even have thought of - all the overwhelming things that are thrust at you when you are still in hospital after giving birth, what to think about and prepare for coming home, how to deal with friends and family when you are still trying to bond with your baby... There are so many great links to articles and websites throughout. I would recommend this guide to anyone looking for a comprehensive and well-informed overview of what to expect during your first year of motherhood.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fans account, 28 May 2013
This book looks at the greatest albums as well as the story of the band members at that moment in their lives. Regan gives detailed accounts of the members on each track and which band member fell at which time. It is nicely written and definitely feels like a fans account of each album mentioned.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not for the faint hearted, 23 May 2013

Bloody Angels is gruesome and graphic - a gritty detective thriller that takes place in Bristol. The narrative style is quite unusual, switching from the perspective of different characters and layering the narrative in a disorientating but interesting way which throws you off-guard when the final twist is revealed.
