5.0 out of 5 stars Original, vivid, powerfull street photography from an undiscovered in their lifetime photographer, 12 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this book after having been in an exhibition of Vivian in the History museum of Chicago. Her photography both in huge enlardgements as well as in this book are stunning, capturing the soul of Chicagos street over a very interesting era.

She is a master of her craft and now a piece of Chicago history

1.0 out of 5 stars Difficult to read, few maps, no clear distinction between sports and trad, 12 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this book as a general guide of the Peak district region to decide which of all areas is best for our requirements and skill and then potentially buy another more specific guide.

This guide failed at providing help in either general or specific information and we ended up doing all our research on Rockfax.

2.0 out of 5 stars Broke after 2 months, 12 Feb 2010
Mine just stopped working after only a couple of months used.

When it worked it was absolutely great - but reliability is a big thing for a luxury product at that price point.

5.0 out of 5 stars Original, Powerful, Memorable, 13 Dec 2009
This review is from: 28 (Audio CD)
Jont is a real rolling stone, travelling from city to city, house to house, gig to gig, playing music for free, but mostly connecting people with his unique UNLIT gigs (check his website).

His values and huge personality show in his music and contribute to an all round great album that you won't regret buying.

Influences from soft rock - sometimes echoes of Ben Harper or Jack Johnson - very original - coming from the heart

Hagakure: The Book of the Samurai
Hagakure: The Book of the Samurai
by Tsunetomo Yamamoto

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional book, 3 May 2009
Hagakure is a truly exceptional book. It cuts straight and deep and finds the epitomy of the way of the Samurai.

In a truly masterful style Tsunetomo delivers food for thought and life values that properly digested, and with a bit of salt, can be of great use for your personal life or business.

I loved this book and suggest it both for the fans of Japanese culture, but also for those looking for insight in life deriving from the way of the Samurai.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best desktop mouse yet... for a right handed man, 13 Dec 2008
There are many extended reviews so I'll keep this one short.

Pros:
- The scrolling action is the best yet! You don't know what you're missing until you've tried it, and it won't do it's magic until you plug-it in. Check it out on youtube: []
- The comfort is excellent if you have a man sized hand and you're right-handed
- The customisation of button functions is second to none (I've never used those gamers' mice though.)

Cons:
- Battery life is short without a recharge - although there it has a docking station which recharges the mouse so it's not a biggy - just makes it a bad for a laptop mouse
- Range from the USB to the mouse is short IMO. I use this mouse with the usb extended cable that comes with some of these mice - don't remember if one is included. You should be fine for normal use but if your box is setup far from the area you use your mouse you might need to improvise.

So there might be room for improvement in the future - but this is the best desktop mouse out now for a right handed man!

3.0 out of 5 stars Don't Stop here!!, 21 Sep 2003
This book has proved necessary to me because of its escalating in difficulty and fun grooves. But comparing to other books like Bass guitar for Dummies, it leaves a very big knowledge gap in the process.
If you wish to learn how to play the bass, but also how to improvise, how to practice those fingers, and what people mean when they say A#, I suggest you ALSO buy "Bass guitar for Dummies".
PROS
Portable, Full of music, fun to learn with, good learning curve, CD included
CONS
No finger exercises. Narrow in content and unformed.
This is an amazing little book serving the purpose of a secondary learning guide. I recommend it to anyone on the first stages of learning the bass.
