Have been enjoying season 4 on telly, so thought I'd get the back catalogue.

OK, 2 stars might be fairer for this cheesy cop porn, or is that pop corn?

This is mindless stuff. Is it a recruitment advert for the CIA? God knows, but it is cringeworthy cartoon stuff.

Mind you, in its new incarnation, series 4, CA is very enjoyable....

1.0 out of 5 stars Great concept, 28 Jan 2013
When i got my case it stank of some kind of synthetic leather spray, so I needed to smear it with lord Sheraton for a week before it didn't make me ill. For a while it seemed a good case, except I noticed my amplifier get very harsh. I took the phone out of the case and the amplifier is back to normal. I can only assume that the magnetic clip does not agree with the amplifier....(It's also unclear whether the magnet is affecting the circuitry)

5.0 out of 5 stars The book I wish I'd bought 12 months earlier!, 4 Sep 2012

I bought another very good Linux book, but it was way beyond my needs. I needed a book that hit the salient notes, and 'Unix and Linux' is that book I believe.

At around 380 pages, and with illustrations and boxes of text, it is (IMO) the perfect handbook for the beginner
coming into Linux who wants to get a foothold. Explanations are to the point, and give you what I regard as the right amount of detail, i.e. enough to work with.

And that's the point about this book, it is a hand on the tiller which allows you to get on with using your Linux Command Line, as opposed to getting lost in reams of knowledge which might be peripheral to your immediate requirements.

Of course, it's not just for the beginner, I suspect it is for the anyone who uses the Linux CL, and who has not mastered the lexicon of standard commands.

In sum, this is a top class book if you want a clear reference book on your table for learning Linux and doing a lot of mainstream functions.

Clement has written an excellent user guide for Nginx. I am a bit of a newcomer, but I find the book very well structured and presented, and abundant in detail. I am still working through it, but I feel anybody sitting on the fence should probably give this book serious consideration.
