This set is wonderful probably the best collection of silent films available!
It includes ALL Lloyd's silent feature films as well the first 5 of his 7 sound films along with a very generous selection of his shorts.
There are commentaries on Safety Last, The Kid Brother, The Freshman, Speedy & Haunted Spooks.
There are lots of other extras these consist;
Mini Biographies
Harolds Hollywood

Leonard Matlin Featurette
Remembering Harold Featurette
Keep 'Em Rolling Featurette
Finding Harold Featurette
USC Gala Dinner
AFI Seminar
Old Gold Comedy Theatre

The Works Of Harold Lloyd
The Scores for the silent films have mostly been done by the incomparable Carl Davis and the great Robert Israel and are all wonderful.
This set is basically the UK release of "The Harold Lloyd Comedy Collection" which was a region 1 release but this set also contains Harold's first sound film "Welcome Danger" which is not on the region 1 set

2.0 out of 5 stars Great Films Awful Copies, 21 July 2007
Let's Get this straight Buster's Films are wonderful but these copies are not
if these copies were the only ones available it wouldn't be so bad but they aren't, there are vastly better copies out there the complete Buster Keaton short films for example or Cinema clubs set of Steamboat Bill Jnr, Collage & 3 Ages. Why we still have to be flogged these dire old prints is beyond me. Buy this set for fairly good copies of 7 chances, battling butler, the navigator, our hospitality, go west and the saphead but get the other features elsewhere. Get the 2 DVD set of the General from Cinema club a better print and lots of good extras through you don't get the carl davis score, about half the shorts are also dire prints so get the complete Buster keaton short films

4.0 out of 5 stars Last book by an over looked genius, 2 Nov 2005
This review is from: Belshazzar (Paperback)
Belshazzar is the final book written by Rider Haggard. It was written in 1924 but not published until 1930, 5 years after the authors death. The story moves between Egypt and Babylon finishing at the biblical feast of Belshazzar (The writing on the wall), however it is more of a typical Rider Haggard Egyptian book along the line of "Cleopatra, "Morning Star" or "The Ancient Allan" than a biblical tale. There are plenty of thrills throughout and the conclusion is typically wonderful. This book is extremely hard to find second hand (it has hardly been reprinted since 1930) so this wildside edition is very welcome.
