I've baked bread occasionally but never that successfully. I've recently tried the no knead recipes I can't say I was very impressed with the results. Then I saw this flour and the great reviews, I love French bread so I thought why not give it a try. Wow I followed the recipe of the back of the packet and am over the moon with the result, the three batons are just like if not better than my local bakery. I knew as I was mixing the ingredients that the dough felt right. I'm so glad I tried this, I think I will have to give some of their other flours a go.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT, 9 July 2015
I bought this bundle direct from Cosco which worked out cheaper than the cost of the blender on its own if I had bought directly from Vitamix, and well over a hundred pounds cheaper than shown here. I thought long and hard about which brand to go for once I decided I wanted one of these machines. I boiled it down to Blendtec or Vitamix. I chose Vitamix as they have a much stronger presence here in the UK a dedicated website, and service centre, whereas as far as I can see Blendtec do not. There are other brands but they mostly offer a limited guarantee they say 5 or 7 years depending on which brand your looking at, but if you look further often the jug, blades and other parts are only guaranteed for a year. Vitamix offer a full 7 years on everything.

I've not had this blender long, but straight away as I unpacked it you can tell that it's a quality item build standard is top notch. It even tells you the date that it was made. Then it took minutes registering it with Vitamix for the 7 year guarantee.
I couldn't wait to get started using it, so my first thing was a green smoothie, Vitamix advise that you follow the recipes in the dedicated TNC cookbook, till you become accustomed to using the machine. I then made strawberry ice cream using fresh strawberries I had frozen myself. Both the smoothie and ice cream make anything you can buy in the supermarket pale into insignificance, there's no comparison. I made peanut butter that was so easy and I know exactly what's in it, just peanuts no additives. It keeps in the fridge for a while as well. Next I'm going to try out some soup recipes. I also love the iced cappuccino. The dry grains jug comes in the bundle so far I have used it to grind coffee in seconds. You can grind wheat and make your own flour and then bread which the dry grains jug will knead as well.
Lots of people comment on the noise, that was my biggest worry. Yes it's loud but no where near as bad as I was expecting and let's be honest it's never on for long as it's super quick at any task you do in it. I'm really pleased I bought this it was money well spent.

3.0 out of 5 stars OKAY READ, 3 July 2015
First read for me by this author. This is the first part of a series of short stories that are now available in a complete collection on kindle. This first story was free at the time I downloaded it.
Three years ago Brandon jilted Charity on the eve of their wedding to run off to Hollywood to pursue an acting career. Present day Charity has moved on with her life and been dating James for the past year all is going well till Brandon shows up in town.
While I quite liked this there's the cheating aspect I'm not keen on, Charity seems to fall straight back into Brandon's arms without remembering that she's got a long term boyfriend. There was also the fact that Charity and Brandon had lived different lives since Brandon left three years previously they just seemed poles apart, it felt like neither would fit into the others lifestyle. I liked Brandon he was remorseful about how he treated Charity in the past, Charity might be considered weak for giving in to Brandon, but the truth is she still has feelings for him. Even so I still wasn't keen on her. This ends on a cliffhanger. I'm not sure that I want to read more in this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars BIG BAD BIKER, 1 July 2015
This author doesn't hold anything back in her MC romances the heroes are big bad tattooed and hot. They don't romance the heroine's with hot dates, flowers and chocolates either. Once one of these guys claims the woman he wants that's it there's no turning back. Roman is the Grizzlies MC enforcer and he's the biggest and baddest of them all. 2 years previously Roman had spent a few weeks one summer with Sally he'd swept her off her feet literally. Unknown to him she's got a secret that he's soon to discover, when he does it's a game changer and Sally will have no choice but to give in. As usual apart from the main couple there's plenty going on elsewhere in this story making it a real page turner. I loved it. Thank you to the author for allowing me a ARC for an honest review.

2.0 out of 5 stars SEX AND MORE SEX, 1 July 2015
I'm not sure what I expected from this story, but I certainly wasn't expecting an out and out sex fest. The story involves Tyler Bell who is a catholic priest and Poppy a poor little rich girl trying to find herself.

Right from the very first page it's blatantly obvious that Tyler should never have become a priest, he doesn't have the calling or vocation. His reason for becoming one was a bit surprising, if anything it's the last job he should want to do. He first meets Poppy when she turns up to confession, I was surprised by that as this girl is not a catholic. It's also very obvious from their first meeting that she has set her sights on seducing Tyler. Mind you she doesn't have to try very hard, he's a very willing victim. I didn't like how quickly they started having sex, I thought that at least Tyler would struggle a little bit with his conscience and try to remember the vows he'd taken, but no, Poppy only has to flutter her eyelashes and he's dropping his trousers. But what bothered me as well was his constant dropping of the 'F' word. Poppy came across as a bit of a whiner she's from a rich family and has had every advantage but isn't happy, and ends up stripping at an exclusive club. I thought she was a user and just plain nasty. Add in a weak hero who's a priest, this was not a good read IMO. The author has taken a taboo subject and instead of an heart searching emotional read this is just plain tacky.

2.0 out of 5 stars SPOILERS, 24 Jun. 2015
This review is from: Lingus (Kindle Edition)
SPOILERS.....................

Kat is dragged along to a porn convention by one of her best friends Nikki, both of them like porn and watching it they even have their favourite actors. Their other friend Zoey is in the business. Nikki is there to meet and get an autograph from her favourite porn star Calum. While waiting for Nikki Kat meets a really cute guy named Tristan they get talking and strike up a rapport, they bump into each other throughout the rest of the day even sharing lunch. Kat really likes Tristan then she sees why he's there. She spots him at a booth with women surrounding him he's in his other personna Robbie Lingus! Tristan likes Kat and wants to be friends. Of course Kat wants more than friends but knows she couldn't cope with him having sex with other women, so being friends will have to be enough.

Like this author's other two books I've read this is a slow burn. I mostly liked Tristan his and Kat's scenes together were funny, at times laugh out loud funny. He told Kat he doesn't have girlfriends as that wouldn't be fair considering what he does, which was nice it's a shame he kept giving her mixed signals. Kat was fairly likeable but there were moments I wanted to shake her. As to the other characters who were Kat's friends I wasn't so keen. Nikki was a bit too aggressive, Zoey was just weird there were more than a few times I wondered if there was more going on between Kat and her. Josh their gay friend behaved like a schoolboy. Overall the supporting characters were a bit too OTT.

What I didn't like... Well there were only a few female porn stars featured but I didn't like the implication that they were just whores while any male stars Tristan included were hot, sexy, honourable upstanding guys. Why female authors are so hard on their own sex I don't get. It's annoying.
I also didn't like that for most of the story Tristan keeps Kat firmly in the friend zone, that is till her friends tell her to stop burying her head in the sand and stop hanging on waiting for Tristan to see her as more. Then lo and behold the minute she's got a date with another guy he doesn't like it, what a hypocrite at this point in the story he's away filming, boning goodness knows how many women. I'm sure the author didn't mean it to come across that his interest in Kat changed the minute she was going out on a date but that's how I read it. It was never explained why Tristan was in the business, he had a good job at a law firm, he was studying to be a lawyer he had an inheritance from his grandmother so he wasn't hurting for cash. I also thought it odd that he liked to keep his Robbie Lingus character a secret, he worried that his family would find out. So it didn't make sense why he was doing it.
Overall this story went on too long for me it lost its way during the middle. This would have worked better as a novella IMO.

3.0 out of 5 stars POSSIBLE SPOILERS, 23 Jun. 2015
I was given a copy of this by the author in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book in a series but each book can be read as a standalone story. Aspen works in her father's company, she's hoping to taker over running. But her fiancé John cheats on her with her cousin whom he's now going to marry. Aspen's father is deeply disappointed and threatens Aspen's hopes of taking over one day. Her best friend Harper goads her into hiring an escort to pretend to be her boyfriend. This is how she meets Rhett he owns his own escort service, but it's an escort service with a difference, they do not offer any intimacies other than holding hands or a peck on the cheek!
While I quite liked this it lacked that hot chemistry that I like in my romance reads. Rhett was charming and a real gentlemen but he was a bit too goody goody for personal liking. Aspen was a very downtrodden heroine and seemed to let everyone walk all over her, but she was a likeable character. I wasn't convinced that once they were together she would be fine with Rehtt continuing to pretend to be other women's boyfriends/husbands for a living. This story was a bit slow to get going and did lag in parts where I was tempted to skip pages. Overall it was a sweet romance, probably a bit too sweet for me.

2.0 out of 5 stars THE KISS OF DEATH, 8 Jun. 2015
This review is from: Kiss Before Dying (Kindle Edition)
Katja has been Sebatian's blood slave for 10 years, her time with him is almost at an end. But she has a plan, Sebastian's lovers spend only one night in his bed then he ends their life. Whereas Katja will have her memory wiped before being returned to the mortal world. Katja devises a plan to disguise herself and be Sebastian's lover for one night before receiving his kiss before dying.
I have read quite a few books by this author and I thought I might enjoy this, unfortunately there's very little to it mostly because of the length. So it's difficult to get a feel for the characters or the world they live in. I also found Katja's opinion of Sebastian rather contradictory, on the one hand she says he's kind and gentle, but he regularly murders the women who share his bed, they're then taken to the basement and turned to ash. This was not really for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars A WORTHWHILE READ, 1 Jun. 2015
This review is from: Stinger (Kindle Edition)
This is the second book I've read by this author, I liked this one a lot more than the previous book I read in this series. Grace Hamilton a law student is in Las Vegas to attend the international law students conference. When she arrives at her hotel she's astonished to discover that there's another convention going on, the adult entertainment expo. It's while making her way to her room she bumps into Carson Stinger straight male performer, he's cocky and arrogant and immediately seems to take pleasure in getting under Grace's skin. Grace isn't quite sure how to deal with the feelings that Carson is evoking, on one level she's attracted to him, but his profession is a big turn off. Grace hopes to avoid him during the rest of her stay. But fate plays a trick on her, the two of them get stuck in a lift together. It's during that time they get to know one another better, Grace reveals her life plan, which amuses Carson, while he reveals some of his own history. The attraction between them is obvious they both feel the tension. Carson offers to spend the weekend with Grace, she decides to step out of her comfort zone and go for it. After all at the end of the weekend they would both go their own way and never see one another again. But the weekend has a lasting effect on them both, and is the catalyst for the changes they both make that will affect their future lives.

This book is split into three parts the first titled the scorpion covers the first 12 chapters and is about the weekend in Las Vegas, the second the eagle deals with the five years they are apart and is the next 8 chapters, I have to say that I don't usually like years spent apart by the two main characters, but these chapters were not overly long and I totally got why the author did things that way. The final 16 chapters is when these two meet again, that sounds like a good chunk of the book, but to be honest it felt a bit rushed.

As to the characters I loved both Carson and Grace, I was a bit worried that he made pornography films but that was dealt with well by the author. Grace was smart strong and didn't dither about I really liked that. Both Carson and Grace's characters showed real growth as well. Overall I really enjoyed reading this, and would not hesitate to recommend it. This is a stand alone story even though it's part of a series.

4.0 out of 5 stars GOOD BUY, 1 Jun. 2015

I've used these pots before, Leighton Denny mostly. But this was way cheaper and it's a larger size as well, it's acetone, and paraben free. It's also hypoallergenic. As with all other pots including the premium brands they struggle to remove glitter polishes. But on normal cream or pearlised polished this compares well, 1 second per nail is an exaggeration but it does work fairly quickly. Some reviewers have commented that when you try to twist your finger the sponge moves around, yes but they all do that no matter what brand your using. Overall this is a good buy that I would not hesitate to use again. But the biggest bonus is its way cheaper.
