Geeks Rule - A Collection of Five Action Packed Short Stories
Geeks Rule - A Collection of Five Action Packed Short Stories
Price: £2.30

2.0 out of 5 stars Mis-Named, 2 Jan. 2013

It is my understanding that Geeks use their brains to get out of trouble. These characters use violence and show a remarkably small amount of intelligence. 'Wimps fight back' would probably not be as appealing though more accurate.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant update, 27 Dec. 2012

Having read the original version I decided to treat myself to this revised and improved version. It is worth every penny. Gale Owen-Crocker's scholarship is matched by her very readable style. This is a comprehensive review of current knowledge which is welcome to everyone from scholars to re-enactors to the more general reader. It covers everything that was worn, with clear explanations of why theories are postulated, what is actually known from extant materials and what is conjecture. I strongly recommend buying this if you have any interest in the era.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just fun!, 22 Sept. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
At last someone who shares my view on bike riding: that it should be fun. Mr Petersen gives excellent advice and has written a very readable book. There is enough technical information to help you out without drowning you in figures. My only complaint is that it is written in American but that is understandable as Mr Petersen is American. It is packed full of useful information and tips. This is a book for normal people who just want to have fun on their bikes. Fanatics find something else!
