1.0 out of 5 stars I Agree with the other two reviews, 14 April 2014
Have had two of these sat outside on two sheds for a long while after buying from wowcher. Saying that they have been on the sheds is exactly true. Saying they have been working is exactly not true. Initially one worked a couple of weeks and the other not at all. Very very poor and because of the cost to bother I could not be bothered to chase for a refund and to be fair not how you go about doing so when buying indirectly from Wowcher.

Not buying SolarBrite again!!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not so clever in a Hard Water area, 5 Mar. 2012
For looks this kettle has it all. Sits nicely in the kitchen and doesn't look out of place at all. The slightly smaller amount of water is hardly noticeable as it still comfortably makes 5 mugs of tea and quickly too. Noise, yes but quick kettles do make noise but you can easily make coffee in typical advert breaks. Click down button on the base with bright LED light in the button showing its working and yes a gauge on either side of the handle which would suit either hand.

Its main problem though would be cleaning to prevent the build up of limescale in a hard water area where I indeed live. It has a clever opening lid for pouring water in (unless you want to do it through the spout) but the trouble is, is that the mechanism is supported by a complete ring of plastic so whereas tipping limescale from a normal kettle is quite easy it now collects around the plastic rim and falls back in even somewhat if you turn it completely upside down. Then of course the rim deflects water too and you have to take care some doesn't end up over you.

Otherwise, its not a bad kettle and certainly the fastest I have had. I never even used the one cup insert by the way... that's just a gimmick reflectively if you are a family.

I gave it '3 stars' but in a soft water area it would have been great all round and would have got top marks. Though time will tell to see if the lid mechanism holds up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple to FIND... other makes aren't!!!, 5 Mar. 2012
Simply the easiest phone to find when its left lying around. That's because the phone itself rings (loudly) and the Base Station/s do not at all.

All the other DECT phones I have had have all sounded loud at the base stations completely drowning out the pitiful sound the phones themselves make. They can be right next to you and the Base Station in another room but the loudness of the Base Station alone completely disorientates the mind... something you can do well without if you know the Answerphone will kick in soon.

All the normal features are perfectly adequate. Perhaps a larger phone book would be useful but on the whole its easy to use but ultimately, I am awarding it '5 stars' for the ease of being able to locate the phones themselves under cushions, paperwork... wherever.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do yourself a favour...look for another phone!, 14 Feb. 2011
As far as the reviews went this seemed to be a pretty good phone. I'm not that fussed about the music aspect but did indeed find it was pretty good.

The initial trouble is, is this phone has got the controls for the radio on the face of the phone and if you have it in tight trousers then its easy to turn it on as you are walking along should it be in your pocket or indeed if you are a lady by rummaging around in your bag.

This seems also to be the case of the function keys when the phone is slid closed and if you don't keep your phone log deleted you can accidently phone the previous person to call you or of you called them. I even got to the point of turning it off but that for one thing defeats the point of a mobile phone but seems with pressure on the keys you can still restart it and do any number of things depending upon the gyration of your trousers.

The final nail in the coffin was when the text messages all started getting mixed up. I thought the odd msg was odd right from the start but now 2 weeks have passed and upon reviewing conversations I'm finding msg's all over thae place and on one instance have replied to the wrong person. Not very clever if what youre sending is a secret!!

One would have thought too that when you opened up the main menu, considering we are in the days of unlimited texts that the 1st app you land on is the text function as names have their own direct link from a seperate button but no you are on Gallery and have to work your way to msg's!!

But the getting the msg's confused bit means I'm returning the item as faulty (as it is!!) and getting my money back. Shows what looking at reviews can do and the ones for this were good so I went for it but might be a bit more wary in future!!

Oh one other thing, it doesnt seem to accept multimedia... just says msg failed :(

Got the leather pouch for it too... that seemed to exacerbate the turning on the radio problem and i pretty much think it was blocking the signal so I dumped that too.

So if you want a smart looking slider then get it... if you dont want to get really irritated then dont!!!
