1.0 out of 5 stars Unfit for purpose, 28 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Airplay function breaks up after several minutes. Useless for a device that is advertised as an Airplay one.
Further, on trying to reset up the device closer to the router the WPS function still failed to work and I could not access the 192.168.1.1 page on the alternative setup -- trying to do this on Iphone and Ipad caused it to reboot. A PC gave a page with 'Network Setup' or somesuch that wouldn't go any further. Suspect corrupted firmware.
Got this in the Black Friday sales for about 68, but this is not a bargain for something that doesn't work.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware packaging type, 28 Sep 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
There seem to be two different types of packaging containing two different blade/foils going around. Do not buy the one pictured; the cutting blade is not as wide as the one it was replacing (pictured in the other packaging type, the non transparent one with Remington on its side in the top right hand corner). Worst shave I can remember having in a long time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good basic quality stands, 15 Oct 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought a pair of these to see what they were like and then a further set of four for a future 7.1 set up. I didn't go for the Amazon ones as they have 'Amazon Basic' markings on base I believe.
Sturdy enough stand for the small 5.1 Yamaha speakers that I want to use them with; they have a large weight underneath the four point feet to keep the centre of gravity low.
Selection of screws and washers provided.
They screw into the back of the speakers I have; if yours are bottom mounted I'm not sure you will be able to use these, perhaps someone else can advise (e.g. Boston Acoustic XS).
Small criticisms:
1. Rattle about in the box a little so not sure they are as well packed as they could be. One or two of the stands had very minor marks. Nothing you would notice though without an almost forensic examination though.
2. Quite hard to get the wire out of the top of the tube; would be helpful if this was an larger oval rather than circular hole.
3. The plastic cover doesn't cover about an inch and a half (4-5cm) of wire coming out of the top of the stand so buy black wire and not copper covered stuff if this is going to be visible. I think I am going to have to tape mine up or get some black tubing as it is quite unsightly.
Otherwise they do the job and I was more than happy to repeat purchase: in all six stands for around []. Perhaps the company should start offering a set of six.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, long-running fantasy and science fiction magazine, 8 Aug 2011
For those of you who have never encountered this magazine before, it has been going since 1949 and has won multiple Hugo, Nebula, Locus, etc. awards for itself and the stories it has published. Its contents regularly reappear in the various 'Best of the Year' anthologies.

The writers who have appeared in its pages read like a who's who of the Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror field and have included Stephen King, JG Ballard. Brian W. Aldiss, Robert Bloch, Lucius Shepard, Robert Silverberg, Fritz Leiber, Fred Pohl, Jack Vance and hundreds more.

Publishing a literate and sometimes literary blend of SF, Fantasy and Horror, it is worth much more than the 99p subscription price (UK readers). I already have a paper subscription and have also subscribed to the Kindle one; at this price it is worth the extra to have the convenience of a electronic edition. At the risk of stating the obvious you would be much better subscribing for three issues than buying a single copy.

Will post a paragraph giving a review of this particular issue once I've read it.

Give it a go!!

PS As pointed out in the comments it is 99p per month not issue, so 1.98 per issue.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good kindle product, 30 Dec 2010
Having installed Kindle on my android tablet I was keen to download one of the professional products for it. Dell magazines seem to have got their act together in a way that many other media companies have not. First of all the content is formatted properly for the device (ok, there are one or two things I might change if I had the chance, but there is nothing here that acts as a barrier to reading the magazine). Secondly, they are providing this publication more cheaply than it would cost to buy a physical copy in the UK. It has been a while since I have seen a one but I doubt if they cost less than 3.50/4 at the moment. It is also cheaper than a two year international subscription.
