5.0 out of 5 stars Cool as a cool thing, 18 Sept. 2012

I bought these to wear when flying my plane, as I thought the elastic headband would fit better under my noise cancelling headset and not break the quiet spell. I do wear them for flying and don't need the elastic, as the arms seem to sit well under the headset. I also wear them all the time, as they're so cool and work well. Highly recommended, they rock!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sticks like stuff to a blanket, 18 Sept. 2012

It's very red, very sticky and it comes on a roll. It stuck to my very shiny aircraft skin and stayed on at the top speed of 203 mph, which surprised and pleased me, particularly as I'd used it to tape up the control surface gaps to give me more "bite" in aerobatics. Recommended for use in hi speed aerobatic aircraft and other sticky applications

5.0 out of 5 stars Soaring pilot's bible, 29 April 2011

As a very new glider pilot, having made the move from powered aircraft, I'm pretty happy with poling along and flying the aircraft, but need more help on how to find and use lift. This book has been a great help, in explaining the types of lift, how and where to find them and some very good pointers on how to make the best of it when actually in it! I've done a few more soaring flights since reading the book and have had a go at a couple of the techniques, with I think some success! I'd recommend it to any new or aspiring soaring pilots

5.0 out of 5 stars Plug in and fly!, 29 April 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this joystick for use with my MacBook Pro and The Silent Wings soaring simulator. As it didn't specifically say MAC OS X on the blurb, I wasn't 100% sure it would work, but I plugged it in, started the sim and immediately the joystick was recognised and off we went! I like the weighting of the self centring and the stability of the base. The throttle is slightly fiddly to use with the left hand, but that's only a minor minor niggle. I'm very pleased with it, especially for the low price

5.0 out of 5 stars More of the same-HOORAY!!!!, 28 April 2008

I've been a Counting Crows fan since I first saw a video on MTV, from the bath of a New York hotel in 1997 and played Recovering the Satellites, non-stop, on my car CD and in the office for the next 6 weeks.

I've got all the albums, live and studio and have seen them live multiple times.

Saturday Nights & Sunday Morning is a great piece of work, old and familiar but new. Old and familiar as in Adam's story telling and real-life lyrics, the jangling and soaring guitar and the plaintive and evocative piano. New as in new songs and ideas. I loved it from the first time I played it, I actually bought 3 new CDs from Amazon at the same time, but the other 2 haven't had a look-in yet. This is playing on my iPod, car and computer.

If you haven't heard The Crows before: BUY IT!! as a representative shopwindow of their stuff.

If you know The Crows:BUY IT!! you'll love it
