We have indoor cats, so one of the things we always worry about is their safety when we are out of the house. This alarm was really easy to setup and the android app is easy to use. Is it expensive? sure if you compare it to a simple alarm, but the added connectivity buys a little peace of mind.

We used some 'no more nails' strip to stick the alarm to the ceiling, which is preferable to drilling. There is a nifty automatic night light feature, which I am quite fond of. Unfortunately we could see from the android app that it was being set off 70+ times a night by our cats! You can easily disable that feature (the night light, not the cats). The alarm is also really loud. So far the batteries have lasted about 7 or 8 months. I would definitely recommend this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy one for your cats, they'll love it!, 23 April 2016

This review is from: Cat Mate Pet Fountain (Misc.)
Our cats love this fountain. At first they just sat there and watched the water trickling down, which is better than most toys we have tried with them! The cats drink an awful lot more water than before and do seem to have made it part of their rituals. The changeable filters are cheap enough and it's not too much hassle to clean the parts. As for the noise - think small fish tank pump. It's pretty quiet, but sometimes we can hear it when the TV is off.

Overall, I do think this was an excellent purchase and am very happy with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very bright UV torch, 23 April 2016

This is a really very bright UV torch. It works very well, but be careful with your eyes as the reflections from things such as bank notes can be very bright!

5.0 out of 5 stars Much faster alternative to Scrabble, 4 Feb. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Bananagrams Game (Toy)
This is ideal for those a little too lazy to play Scrabble. It has a much faster pace and is great fun with two people. Seeing somebody claim victory only to lose it because they weren't paying attention and had placed 'birdog' is hilarious!

Definitely recommended, but you do need a fair bit of table/floor space to play.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great potential let down by bad layout and a faulty WIFI module., 28 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This has the potential to be a great value high-end mini-itx mainboard. It has good onboard sound, a 'killer' ethernet port and a load of great functions.

What lets it down is:
1) The board layout - you can't fit many after-market air coolers on this. The Zalman CNPS 8900 quiet and the Cooler Master 212 plus won't fit without overlapping with the PCI-E slot. This leaves either the stock cooler or a water cooler.

2) The 'optional' WIFI/Bluetooth module. This thing has tiny pins and needs to be screwed in to the board. Why it doesn't come attached, I don't know. I found the one supplied with my board just did not work at all. It could not be detected by the BIOS and so was unusable. I checked for bent pins on the connector and it was all fine. The antenna sockets are also extremely loose so you cannot mount the antenna in any position other than flopping towards the ground.

What worked well was:
1) The rest of the package. If you can do without the WIFI and Bluetooth and plan to use a water cooler, then this thing is still £20 cheaper than the next rival, the Gigabyte Z97 Gaming 5.

If the WIFI module had worked, I would have given this board 4 or 5 stars. I'll be sending this back, however.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best toy we've found for our kitten, 14 Jan. 2015

These are definitely our kitten's favourite toys. He loves playing with them. Sometimes I'll play catch with them with him, but you'll needs lots of spare mice because they often get lost around the house!

1.0 out of 5 stars Pump failed after only 6 months of light use, 14 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this for a mini-itx games PC for the living room. It was quiet and a lot better than the stock AMD cooler, but one of the mounting screw holes on the radiator was misaligned. I managed to fit it anyway and it seemed to do the job quite well.

Fast forward to 6 months later and with only a few dozen hours use, the pump has failed. After such light use this is disappointing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good airflow but not quiet enough even at low speed, 12 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These fans do push a lot of air through them. I have them set up with speedfan to keep the fan speed low unless I am gaming.

They are not silent at low speed - not bad but not as good as Akasa Apache black fans.

When they get going they are quite loud, however.

If you want silent with the flexibility to push a lot of air if you need it, I might look elsewhere.

2.0 out of 5 stars Definitely not for an AMD system, but it was shiny, 12 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This cooler looks nice. If I were using it for an Intel processor, maybe I would recommend it. For an AMD processor I would definitely not. Go for the Cooler Master 212 or anything else for a low profile HTPC.

Installation for an Intel processor appears straightforward from the included sheet.

To install the cooler for an AMD processor you must replace the motherboard backplate. For previous coolers this has just been a case of unscrewing the old one and screwing the new one on. Not for this baby! You must add some plastic clips, push some tiny metal screw holders in (which keep falling out) stick some double sided tape on a plastic loop, stick the plastic loop to the plate, stick some more double sided tape to the loop then finally stick the whole thing to the back of the motherboard. Good luck lining it up with the screw holes - if you don't get it right you can't adjust it without destroying the tape!

You must then affix the brackets to the base of the cooler, at which point you discover that:
(a) there is no way this is going to fit next to your RAM because the heatpipes stick out too far
(b) you cannot rotate the heatsink to get it to fit because the mounting brackets only fit one way (a common problem for AMD coolers)
(c) even if it did, the brackets are too high above the motherboard to screw in without bending the brackets
(d) even if all that were okay, you cannot screw the cooler down easily because the heatsink overlaps the screws.

I bought this for a Gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI motherboard and it does not fit at all. I also tested it with an ASUS M5A97 Pro and it wouldn't screw onto that either.

There is no way that this was ever designed for an AMD system.

Two stars given because it came in a nice box and was all shiny, which I think is generous considering it isn't fit for the job.
[EDIT]
I recently built an i5 mini-ITX build using the MSI Z97I Gaming mini-itx board. This cooler will only fit if you do not want to use the PCI-E slot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value, 13 Jun. 2013

Got this for a Vauxhall Corsa C - works absolutely fine when paired with the Torque android app. Able to see what was really wrong with the car before it went in to the garage.

Sure you can do the pedal trick for free, but who the heck wants to count flashing lights?

Not used it for much else but it saved on the cost of a diagnostic already.

Arrived quickly too.
