5.0 out of 5 stars Forget the Technical Gobble-de-Gook - It works VERY WELL, 22 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I wanted all the USB devices on one powered hub to avoid daisy chaining 4 port hubs to gain 3 each time with cables all over the place and chose this one because it was the best priced USB 3.0 hub with 10 or 12 ports (To allow for possible future upgrade/replacement to laptop with USB 3.0.

I didn't read any instructions or follow any advice saying don't used with more than 1 external HDD. I just plugged it in to one of the USB 2.0 ports on my Acer Aspire 5552 AMD Athlon II X2 processor P320 with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and promptly added
3 external USB HDD Drives:-
A Seagate USB 3.0 4 TB expansion;
A 500 GB USB 3.0 Expansion;
A Freecom USB 2.0 160 GB Classic Portable external HD drive;

Plus:-
A Bamboo CTH - 470K - DE Pen Tablet with ACK-40401-N Wireless Dongle Kit;
LaCie 8 GB CooKey;
Belkin USB Wireless Mouse.

The 4 TB Seagate expansion and the Freecom have their own 5 volt power supplies.

Everything is found in Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and works fine, allowing all photos to be saved on the 4 TB; a full backup plus downloaded programs and all documents and emails on the 500 GB and a system image of Operating System and Programs with empty libraries on the 160 GB. All Personal Documents (scanned letters, bills, bank statements etc.) are stored and accessed on the Private Secure Partition on the LaCie 8 GB CooKey.

It may be that it transfers data a little slower than optimum but I don't really notice it and am able to work on titling and sorting my photos using ACDsee without problems.

I've also backed up all persona files to a 1 TB Clickfree C2 portable Backup Drive.

So to those who say they've had problems with Windows 7 and 8 I can only say - alright Jack, I'm OK.

I only hope they don't hold this confession on adding 3 HDD against me as misuse in case of a failure and subsequent warranty claim within the next 2 years.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beware This Tablet Does Not Accept Wireless Accessory Kit., 30 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this after I missed out on one on eBay which the seller said wireless kit was compatible and claimed to have used it once. Never in a month of Sundays. There is no access to the battery and the wireless sender does not attach to the tablet at all. Never tried using a short extension to what looks like a small USB connector at first glance but appears to be a different size.

No choice but to return it due to the incompatibility issue. Ordered a CTH - 470K - DE and just hope that the K and - DE don't mean anything detrimental to use or connectivity with the Wireless Accessory Kit which is once again advertised as being compatible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great size wise for use with a Laptop - even for big hands., 30 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Only drawback - as previously mentioned by another reviewer is that it eats batteries. You can easily need a pair of rechargeable AAA's per day if left switched on. You can just get 2 days if you switch off the mouse between times at the laptop. There used to be a cable USB version which is identical in size which obviously draws power from USB port. When the on screen pointer freezes yet touch pad mouse/pointing device still works you know you've run out of battery. It was lucky that I had plenty of rechargeable AAA which allows me to rotate charge and use them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Does it work with Eye-Fi cards?, 14 Sep 2013

Does this product work eith Eye-Fi cards?

The answer is no - camera reports card error.

To be fair the description never claimed it did so I am sure it works fine with a standard SD card.
