The Bridge: Behind the Scenes at Chelsea
The Bridge: Behind the Scenes at Chelsea
by Jon Nicholson
Edition: Hardcover

4.0 out of 5 stars A great recall of a memorable season, 31 Mar. 2010
Great read for someone like me (16 years old) wanting to find more about the history of the club and would be a good read for someone 30 or 40 years old wanting to recall the start of the revolution at Chelsea to become part of the European elite.

A deeper vision into what happens on the training ground and on matchdays is certaintly found in this book. Well writeen and grips you from the first page. Covers topics like Ken Bates the owner, the sacking of Rudd Gulit and the successes of the League cup and Cup Winner's cup.

5.0 out of 5 stars A GREAT READ, 28 Mar. 2009
This is the first book i have read to do with the Falklands War and it has to be said that this is one of the best military aviation books i have read yet. It takes you through the eyes of the pilot during SAS insertion missions and then the one way mission which went wrong. This book doesn't give any great detail on the actual concepts of flying but it describes the action vividly, more importantly it describes the war as sea very well. It takes a while to get into the book as the start is failry slow and dull but once you've past that stage the book comes alive and is very difficult to put down. As a result of reading this book i will with out a doubt be reading more books on the Falkands War.

GREAT READ

really enjoyed the book. Just makes you think how we take our armed forces personal for granted. Truly remarkable story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutly .............. SUPERB, 14 Jan. 2008
This headset for the PS3 is just want i wanted. After browsing the internet for a week or so i came to the conclusion to purchase this item; and it did not let me down. I heard that the bluetooth headsets were completely rubbish, however i have also heard they're amazing. However, i wasn't brave enough to risk it, quite frankly i'm glad. After getting the package and seeing it had been dispatched from Germany i was a bit nervous. However after opening it and hooking it up to my PS3 which took under 1 minute i was ready to play. One of the best things about this headset is that it is one of the only headsets out there in the market where the cable is long enough. Im about 2 metres back from my PS3 and i can still have the headset on me with cable to spare !!! The sound is good enough and overall i am really pleased with what i have got for under twenty smackers.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Buy ..., 28 Dec. 2007
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
If your like me and like your motersport then i recommend this game. Graphics are top class espicially when you connect your PS3 to a HDMI cable. There are a number of modes you can play on. These vary from: World Championship, Time Trial, and Career, plus much more. I think the new pit stop system is truly fabulous, it does take a while for you to get used to it then you can start recorded pit stops of 8.1 seconds. Additionally i like the way that your team manager and your driver can communicate over the radio system. However, it does have one down point which is that it's the same voice for every team and every car. Another down point is that there is a lack of commentry through the middle of the race. The commentary only comes in at the start and finish of a race. Nevertheless this is a brilliant game and i advice any racing head to purhcase this game.

5.0 out of 5 stars A TREMENDOUS READ, 22 Dec. 2007
I really enjoyed reading this. The author describes every piece of action in as fine detail as you could have possibly hoped for. The first chapter jumps straight into the action and you feel like you are actually in the huey they are flying. The vast amount of detail varies from call signs to exact dialogue. You can see the emotion that the author has and consequently it polishes of in the book. The only negative that this novel has is that you van sometimes get lost in all the detail and be confused by some of the sayings.
