5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful guide to climbs, 3 Mar 2012
I recently received this as a present, and it's a beautiful book. Great evocative photos and historical anecdotes, and enough technical details to be useful to a cyclist planning on riding the climbs. A great way to indulge myself. The only problem is finding the time to plan the trips now...

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Compilation, 22 Nov 2005
This review is from: Funk Drops 2 (Audio CD)
I bought this album mainly for "The Champ", but was very pleasantly surprised by the many other gems on here, and the consistency of quality across all the tracks. Highly recommended - one of the best compilations I own. King Curtis's Memphis Soul Stew is top notch, as is the The Noble Knights' version of Sing a Simple Song. Buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Truly Great Album, 15 Sep 2003
This review is from: City Of God (Audio CD)
I bought this after seeing the film and liking the soundtrack. Since then, this album has consistently grown on me and still gets played on a regular basis. Some great funk, some more chilled out latin tunes, all with a soulful melodic touch. This CD is quirky and interesting, and takes pride of place in my collection. You won't be disappointed.
