3.0 out of 5 stars Bit of a waste of time, 13 Dec. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
While these triangular hooks are a neat way of hanging up bunches of balloons, I think they are essentially overpriced and badly thought out, because you can only used them once.
Basically, you have a triangular plastic hook. Each corner has a notch in it to hold the tied end of an inflated balloon, and it works well.
You then attached a small adhesive strip to the back of the hook and stick it where you want to. However, you cannot put it on wallpaper, because it will rip when you remove the hook. You can use it on painted walls, but it did leave a small mark on my kitchen wall.
The balloons look good when hanging, but once you take the hook down, you need a new adhesive strip to use it again. As the packet comes with only three hooks and four adhesive strips, that isn't going to make much of a party for anyone.
Given the price of the hooks and the marks left on my kitchen wall, I'd probably rather stick to tying balloons together with string, or just scattering individual balloons around.

5.0 out of 5 stars No need for cotton wool, 8 Dec. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a simple way to remove nail varnish, with no need for cotton wool pads.
Simply open the pot, put your finger in and twist against the sponge that is in the pot.

4.0 out of 5 stars Practical magazine files, 8 Dec. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
These files come flatpack, but are easy to assemble.
One criticism is that in the flatpack, two files are joined together, and you tear them apart on a perforated line. While this is easy to do, it means that the edges of your assembled magazine file are a little bit rough, and don't look 100% perfect.
Still, the pattern is nice and they do the job well enough. There is a white space on the front to label each box. They also represent good value if you need to get 10 files, at just over £1 each.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quietest vacuum cleaner ever?, 3 Dec. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
The best thing about this vacuum cleaner is that it's almost silent when you use it. It means you can hoover late at night or early in the morning if you have to, or can still hear music and the tv while hoovering.
This doesn't compromise the suction, which is strong and efficient on both carpet and wooden flooring. The gliding action of the head is smooth, and the whole device is easy to put together and use, with three detachable heads and an extendable pipe.
I was initially dubious about it having a bag, because I thought vacuum cleaners got rid of bags years ago to improve efficiency. However, I've noticed little difference between the quality of this and my old Dyson, except this is miles quieter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous tool for any amateur golfer, 2 Dec. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a really useful bit of kit for any keen golfer, but make sure before you buy it that you have an Android phone (ie, non-Apple) with NFC technology.
It consists of a series of small round, red tags that attach to the top of each club. They contain the NFC technology that communicates with your phone - all you need to do next is install the free Game Golf app to start tracking your progress.
The app has mapped out thousands of courses - you can check on the Game Golf website to see if your local course is included - and when you go to play, you simply select your course, tap your phone against the tag on the club you're using, and play golf. The app then records loads of data about your strokes, and provides useful info on how far you are from the hole. This enables you to easily identify areas of your game that are strong or weak, allowing you to work on them as necessary, and then check to see how or if you're improving. You can look at the data in real time, or look at it all after a round.
You can also look at data for other people who have played on your course, to see how you match up to them, and challenge friends who also have the tags.
I was a bit worried the technology was going to be over-elaborate for an amateur, or a bit of a hindrance on the course, but it is neither. If your phone is in your pocket, it takes half a second to tap it against the top of your club before a shot, and the data on the app is really easy to use and analyse, and allows you to look at it in as much or little detail as you like.
It is a reasonably expensive product, but anyone who plays golf every week or fortnight will soon get plenty of value for money from it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Non-shimmery bronzer, 29 Nov. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Pretty happy with this powder which, despite being called sunshimmer, is not sparkly. It applies well, and the colour is quite natural, and far from orange.
The packaging is sturdy, with a great hinged lid that clicks closed firmly and doesn't feel like it could break in your bag.

L'Oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil Facial Cleansing Oil 150ml
L'Oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil Facial Cleansing Oil 150ml
Offered by DiscountDIVA
Price: £9.50

2.0 out of 5 stars Too greasy, 21 Nov. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This cleansing oil is extremely greasy - too greasy for me - especially because when you rub around your eyes your vision goes blurred.
It does remove make-up well, but I don't like the feel of it on my skin, and have used better products.

L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Micellar Water 200ml
L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Micellar Water 200ml
Price: £2.50

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than normal make-up remover, 21 Nov. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is my first time using Micellar Water, which everybody raves about.
I don't find the bottle very practical to use, in terms of trying to get the water out onto cotton wool - it always spills - but it does remove eye make-up easily, and without leaving greasy residue.
The packaging says you don't need to rinse your face afterwards, but I still like to use a hot flannel afterwards to feel clean.
Overall, good value and better than a normal eye make-up remover.

Murad Environmental Shield Night Moisture 50 ml
Murad Environmental Shield Night Moisture 50 ml
Price: £59.50

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice orange-scented moisturiser, 21 Nov. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This night cream has a really nice orangey smell, and is not greasy at all. It soaks into your skin quickly, and feels smooth afterwards.
Not sure I can categorically say it is any better than a cheaper night cream (eg Nivea). Would probably need to use for a longer period of time to be able to definitively say so.
However, I do really like it, and if money's not an issue, you won't be disappointed with Murad. I've used a couple of their other mositurising products and been happy with those too. All high quality and non greasy.

CAILLER L'Art Du Brut Dark Chocolate 54 Percent Cocoa with Whole Almonds and Cranberries (Pack of 2)
CAILLER L'Art Du Brut Dark Chocolate 54 Percent Cocoa with Whole Almonds and Cranberries (Pack of 2)

3.0 out of 5 stars Overpriced given the flavours, 25 Oct. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is an enjoyable enough block of chocolate. It's a pretty chunky affair, with cranberries and nuts running over the cracked surface, and in terms of a £5.50 chocolate bar, it certainly looks the part. The cardboard packet also add to the effect of this being a premier block of choc, but the tasting leaves a fair bit to be desired.
I don't get any of the richness I'd expect of 54% cocoa, and the cranberries are really lacking in punch. Each square is also quite large, and combined with the uneven top through which the nuts and berries protrude, it's not the most comfortable eat, and could easily scratch the roof of your mouth.
All in all, I didn't find it a particularly tasty or interesting, given the price. It's not a bad block of chocolate at all, but it should be half the price it is.
