Not at all what I expected but it was very enjoyable.A quick and easy read and kept the enjoyment throughout. Amazingly, almost believable.

AURAGLOW 6w LED GU10 Light Bulb, Warm White, 50w Equivalent

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent light quality., 7 Nov. 2012
Having had other less powerful LED lights I have to same I am more than a little impressed with the quality and brightness of the light. It is not quite exactly the same colour of light as from the original ones but way better than any other LED I have used and doubt I would notice the difference were they not working side by side. Not cheap but works and will by buying more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the first, 26 Jun. 2012
I sung the praises of the first novel and said I was looking forward to the second coming along. Often you end up disappointed but not with this.

I would strongly recommend reading the books in the right order as many hints and backstories from the first are brought through into this second book. Genre wise, the book has moved closer to a full on Police Procedural with the "other" aspect being more subtly applied to this one and this will mean it will appeal to more. Again, we are left wondering where next for Insp McLean as many side stories are left open which means we are again asking the author for more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliantly simple idea, 29 May 2012

Am shocked by how simple yet effective this is for my mum to use. She's had a stroke therefore this is really handy for allowing her to clean herself.

2.0 out of 5 stars Need chubbier mice, 29 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I am shocked by how many times the mice eat out at my trap and leave before the set it off. Even walked in on one putting its full weight on it and it still failed to trigger. In the end I took a file to it to make it release more easily but still prefer the plastic snap traps to these.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good by bloomin expensive, 29 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Does what it should but depressing how few alternatives there are that are decent. Tried a few of the cheaper options and in the end had to buy this. It is good and hard and durable but not as nice as the folding one Apple does. A few annoying details also - why is the on button able to be used when it is fully closed? In the end it is the best case I can find but still not a great case!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good if slightly different from what I expected., 15 Mar. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Yes it is a crime novel and to a large extent it follows the formula ,and cleverness, of a Rebus novels but it certainly is darker and the opening chapter is clearly designed to shock. It has the dry wit and nice observations of a lot of other Scottish based authors kicking around currently, the book is very pleasing to read and is definitely a page turner. The unexpected aspect brings the novel into something you would expect from Neil Gaiman, and it works. In fact, it would be nice to have seen this aspect brought further into the book. It is clearly a "first in a series" novel and consequently time is taken introducing the characters with many aspects of the main characters previous life mentioned and then not taken anywhere. I'll be interested to see where the second novel goes and I personally will look forward to it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Company supplied out of date cartridge which the printer rejects, 16 Nov. 2010

Whether I should blame HP or the company which supplies them is debatable. The cartridge is rejected by the printer for being more than 3 years old. Still waiting for a refund.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Expensive and does Very Little, 6 Oct. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Having got the watch I thought this would be a useful addition so I could see where I had been. It does remarkably little, though if I am honest it does do what it says on the box. It gives you a total distance, ave and peak speeds and that is about it. It DOES NOT do any mapping, record where you have been, give climb or anything else you would expect from a GPS. Also the signal from it seems to be stunningly poor as the watch keeps on loosing it and beeping and then finding it. I compared it with another GPS and on the map and because of this its results are pretty poor (claiming I had done 20% less)

Sorry but there are not 101 products out there that are better than this and cost only a little more.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a backpacking guide, 29 Oct. 2004
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Though it makes no pretence of being a back-packing guide it should make more of the fact that this is the guide for those who hire a car and stay in 5* hotels. It gives plenty of great advice on what to take and what the place is like (I might ignore the bit about taking evening dress) but when it comes down to places to stay and sites to see this is very much a guide for those wanting home comforts and safety. If you are an independent traveller get the Lonely Planet guide as it is far more generous with its breadth of hotel reviews and also far more adventurous in the places to go and see. Go to Sri Lanka and enjoy it, this guide was just not the right one for me.
