If you have never read anything by Kurt Vonnegut you are missing a wonderful and funny writer with great humour and warmth who casts a satirical eye over the achievements of humanity. This book is a very good place to start reading Vonnegut.

A wonderful book, especially for young people interested in science, or studying, or thinking of a career. The book is so full of fun and observations as well as science that it would delight people, like me, who are just interested in science and what makes scientists tick.
Best of all he makes science fun.

A great book, as good as Wolf Hall. Hilary Mantel is by far the best writer of historical fiction writing today. A Place of Greater Safety is also an outstanding historical novel. Her books bring the past to life while also keeping within the bounds of the facts. I await the publication of the third part of the Thomas Cromwell story.

Charles Cumming is a very good writer, and I have read all his books. Unfortunately I was dissapointed by this one. It is OK , but not his best.

I puchased this computer as previously had a similar Samsung which is now nearly 3 years old. The laptop is used for 10 months of the year in North Sumatra where I work for a children's charity. The climate is very hot and humid, and there is a lot of travelling in the rural parts of the country, with some extreemly bad roads - the worst conditions for a laptop. After two years the laptop is not functioning as well as it should. Since the previous computer, a Samsung, survived well I kept to this brand. The laptop has a very good sceen.

This was a gift to my grandson, aged 13, as he had his previous laptop was stolen, it seemed to be the best value for a laptop with an Intel Core i3. I was a bit concerned about Windows 8 as I had so many bad comments about it. The only real problem was finding out how to turn the computer, as its location has been moved and this is not given any prominence in the paperwork. So it was a great sucess, possibly because he is used to using a smart phone

Dyslexia at College
Dyslexia at College

This book is a great guide to further education for older children, university students and most imprtantly should be read by teachers in all stages of education. Unfortunately there is still a geat deal of ignorance about dyslexia, more in primary and secondry schools than in universities.

The book contains much information that would help dyslexics have more confidence.

Surprisingly the book does not contain the words dyslexic or dyslexia.

The Pergamon Dictionary of Perfect Spelling
The Pergamon Dictionary of Perfect Spelling
by Christine Maxwell
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars The best Dyslexic aid when the spell checker is defeated, 7 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The book may be well used, but it was well bound and is very serviceable. The book is a brilliant concept, Theere are no definitions, just colour coding for right and wrong spellings. Words that are spelt correctly are printed in black, and all the wrongly splet versions are in red.
If you can see the value of this then you are probably dyslexic like me.

Canon PIXMA MG6250 All-in-One Colour Printer (Print, Copy, Scan Wi-Fi and Auto Duplex)
Canon PIXMA MG6250 All-in-One Colour Printer (Print, Copy, Scan Wi-Fi and Auto Duplex)

4.0 out of 5 stars A very good printer with one or two problems that don't interfer with normal use., 7 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The design of the printer is good and fits neatly on the desktop, and the automatic opening of the printer tray is useful. The print quality is very good, as is the photo printing. The printer is quiet and fast, but noisy when printing double sided. IN fact there is nothing I can fault. Ink consuption is quite high, but I guess that this is the price you pay for such high qualit output.

However I do not like the DVD print software. In the attempt to make it simple it is difficult to do anything but use the supplied modules. The previous software Label Print was much easier to make your own designs.

I could not use the wirless set up, as my Mac Pro has no wireless facility. I use the router, but as it has password protected access it could not accessit router. I a;so could not use the ethernet to set up the printer. But so far no problems at all running with USB

An excellent book, but the book has had a change of name. I read it when it was called Pay Any Price, and I was expecting to have a book that I had not read. Very dissapointing to find that Due ProcessDue Process is the same book with its name changed. Why change the name? Is this just to catch out the unwary? I think sellers should check on this as I have disovered other Allbeury books where this has been done
