5.0 out of 5 stars KITH - Tour of Duty, 11 Jun. 2006

This DVD is a MUST HAVE for any KITH fan!!!!

Following the Kids In The Hall on their American and Canadian tour in 2002, its their show in Vancouver.

It features classic characters such as Gavin, the kid that never stops talking, and Chicken Lady as well as new characters.

It has to be said that it is an experience and a half that you just wont want to miss out on.

For any KITH fan who has always wanted to see the troupe live then this is the closest most will come and is absolutely unforgettable.

The bonus features arent all that great and it would have been nice to see a little more of the behind the screens footage.

A riot from beginning to end - especially the classic Simon and Hecubus skit as Kevin McDonald and Dave Foley get a fit of the giggles - SUPERB!!!!

I strongly advise anyone who has a passion for comedy to purchase this DVD as it will have you crying with laughter.

These guys are comedy genius.

Just when I thought they couldnt get any funnier they did!!! Absolutely brilliant!!!!
By season 2 TKITH definitely found their footing with writing for the screen rather than theatre. There are some recurring characters such as; Buddy Cole, The two Cathy/Kathies, and "Crushing Your Head" guy (although he`s not in it enough for my liking!).
And there`s new characters too - Drunk Dad, Chicken Lady (You have to see her to believe her!!!) and Simon and Hecubus (Comic genius by Kevin McDonald and Dave Foley).
It would have been nice to have more extras but the ones you do get are fantastic. The episode voice-overs are hilarious but again you just want more.
There are more sketches from the Rivoli Theatre and cast interviews.
Superb!!
A great addition to any KITH fans!!!!!!!

Lee Evans is THE funniest comedian in Britain.

He has an infectious energy that you cant help but keep your eyes glued to the screen to see what hysterical faces he`s pulling and actions he`s making.

The only problem with this Tour DVD is that it wasn`t long enough!

One bit of advice I will give you is: Take a deep breath before pressing play coz you`ll hardly be able to breathe once he gets going. It`s just one joke after another!!!!!!

Priceless!!!!!!!

This was a pleasant suprise. Not at all what I expected. The characters are manic and extremely entertaining. The plot is original and easy to follow. Never a dull moment with brilliant one-liners.

Joshua Jackson plays the boyfriend with a high tolerence level towards Dj Qualls character who has an astonishing lack of common sense with hilarious results.

Definately worth a watch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Green Wing - Series 2, 24 May 2006
This review is from: Green Wing Series 2 [DVD] (DVD)
Just when I thought it couldnt get any funnier than the first series, it did!!!!!!!

I would give it a 6 if I could!

Series 2 picks up where series 1 left off. We find out Mac is in a coma, Guy has had his driving licence revoked, Martin has the use of his legs back and is excited about having found out that he has a brother and Caroline acting like Florence Nightengale at Macs bedside (thats when shes not lying on the hospital bed with him!).

Watch out for Sue White and her obsession with Mac as it escalates into something you could never in a million years contemplate. Hysterically funny and downright wrong!

If you saw the original series you wont want to miss the second.

An absolute must have - and I cant stress that enough!

Cant wait for the third series!

Unfortunately series 2 didnt live up to the original. I had high hopes for this series but was disappointed.

Vince and Howard are no longer zookeepers but live in a flat together with naboo. There are more characters - old and new - and some funny one-liners. The sets are not as dodgy as the first series but thats what added to its charm.

Although disappointed I would still recommend for Mighty Boosh fans - even if only for the last episode of the series, which is a must see as it lives up to the original humour. (You`ll never look at a coconut the same way again!)

Annoyingly addictive and extremely funny. The key to The Boosh is simple - Dont try to find the logic in it. Watch it with an open mind. If you find it funny - LAUGH (and you most definitely will). There is no canned laughter, seriously questionable sets and a zoo with a major lack of animals.

The Mighty Boosh is centred around 2 zookeepers (Vince and Howard) who in each episode get into an array of uncanny situations including Howard in a boxing match with a kangaroo and Vince getting up close and personal with a polar bear.

Also look out for the polos!!!!

The extras couldve been a bit better but the actual episodes are top notch.

If you fancy something thats a bit different and hugely entertaining then its a must have.

The Kids In The Hall are comedy genius` in their own right. There are 5 members of the comedy troupe - Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney, Bruce McCulloch and Scott Thompson. Each member writes at least one sketch per episode and is painfully funny and imaginative. Characters range from 30 old ladies called Helen to a guy whose catchphrase is "I`m crushing your head"!

It would be great if there were more extras but the extras you do get will have you in fits - especially the Rivoli sketches, which will have you begging for more.

Definately a must have for all KITH fans.
