4.0 out of 5 stars Tuscan seduction!, 15 Jan. 2013
Well I have been in love with Toscana many years and when I read Giulia's lovely book it reminds me why I will always be enchanted by this beautiful part of Italy.I have been following her food blog for sometime and enjoy the simplicity and passion of her recipes and writing in both italian and english.I love Toscana is a reminder of how family life and traditions can still continue even in this modern, technical age we now live in. I love her nostalgia from her childhood and her nonna's recipes handed down in the family.Perhaps to somebody who already is very familiar with the tuscan kitchen, the recipes won't be so much as a surprise, but the book is beautifully illustrated with wonderful photography and designed in a rustic way similar to the authors cooking. For food lovers, its a great addition for your book shelf.

4.0 out of 5 stars inspiring!, 30 Sept. 2009
I previously read Matthew Fort's Eating up Italy, which I thoroughly I could'nt wait to get into this latest "vespa" saga.He has a great sense of humour, obvious addiction to good food, and I love the way he searches for the little "trat" away from the tourist hordes, where they still cook honestly and with passion. He offers an insight into hidden, obscure places, one normally would'nt think about visiting and wets the appetite for adventure, new ingredients and inspiring food.To be honest,I preferred his previous Eating Up Italy, but Matthew has rekindled a desire to return to Sicily.I look forward to the next...Sweet Honey, Bitter Lemons: Travels in Sicily on a Vespa
