5.0 out of 5 stars Does this DVD set inslude series 1?, 6 Dec 2013
I know it is not common to write a review before a product is released, but i purchased series 1 of this show back in July of this year as a gift for a friend and now it seems that this complete box set is being released on 16th December 2013. I say complete box set, but i don't know that for sure until another customer posts a review on here or if they have prior knowledge of what is on the discs. I can only assume this because it is a 6 Disc set and i am not sure how many series were released on the televsion. If someone can help with this query after the 16th December that would be great as i do not want to be purchasing both. This would be an ideal xmas present for someone, but you do not want to purchasing the same programmes twice. I have given this 5 stars as i know my friend loved the show, but the rating is not aimed at this particular item as i cannot say what is on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars GA crew still going strong, 31 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have been watching this 4th season of Ghost Adventures and unlike a previous reviewer i am enjoying this DVD. The effort and enthusiasm that Zak, Nick and Aaron provide us with is still as strong as it has been. I do agree that maybe more than 1 DVD set could be released per year seeing that some of the seasons seem to be split into parts with episodes shown out of order. I only know this because of looking at episode guides on the web. I dont know if all of season 4 is present here on this 3 disc 12 episode set? It may be some of seasons 3 & 4 together or seasons 4 & 5? Maybe someone can clarify this? The lads do tell you frequently to watch their blogs online during what must be coming up to a advert break. Some of us can't do that for one reason or another, so i hope that any good activity encountered is not just shown online and included on the DVD for us all to see. The trio are very entertaining and while some of the subject matter that they are dealing with can be very dark ( such as the Villisca Axe Murder House) they can still make me smile and giggle. Poor Aaron is still getting stick after all this time! Episodes include a trip to Salem, Massachusetts where they have the honour of becoming the first ghost hunting crew to be able to investigate the 335 year old witch house used in the famous witch trials, and also a return to Goldfield Hotel in Nevada where their journey began back in 2004 and Ghost Adventures was born. Other locations shown include a hotel in Los Angeles where they are joined by 3 Hollywood horror film actors and it was cool to see Kane Hodder again as he is my favourite Jason Vorhees actor from Friday the 13th. Billy Tolley is the EVP analyst on the show and he also features in this season. Apart from our fearless trio it is good to see and hear other members of the crew explain what is happening when paranormal activity is supposedly captured. To me they are still the best and they should visit the UK again very soon!

5.0 out of 5 stars GACrew still delivering the goods!, 9 April 2012

Have just finished watching season 3 of Ghost Adventures and as expected its brilliant. Zak, Nick and Aaron still continue to provide us with a top quality paranormal show packed with chills and thrills. This season they visit another mining town where they deal with ferocious storms. At one point they thought they wouldnt make the lockdown the cops were on their tail, but luckily the weather improved so they could continue. They also visit a Fort where temperatures hit 115F and they were melting away. Various other places include a warship that was used in WW2, prisons and asylums. They also revisit Bobby Mackeys Music World which is where they held one of their very first lockdowns in season 1. It seems this episode on season 3 is the third time they have visited, such was their experiences the first time around, they hosted a public event there a second time , so this third outing is showing u excerpts from that. It was very interesting to listen to Zak, Nick and Aaron talking about what happened to them at Bobby Mackeys back in 2008 and how they were convinced that something or someone followed them home. Aaron had to deal with the breakup of his marriage which to this day he still blames on Bobby Mackey's Music World and the demonic entities that reside there. This is also the place where Zak got 3 scratches down his back which were described by a priest as the mark of trinity. A bishop from the church accompanies them on this third time and performs an exorcism throughout the building at the end. The Valentines Day bonus episode is for a change quite humorous, and seeing Zak and Aaron try to have a romantic encounter with a ghost is quite amusing. To me they are still a very entertaining bunch of guys and all of the episodes reflect this. The subject matter that they deal with is very dark and dangerous and they do try to keep their humour at times. Its probably what keeps them sane! They are still the best in my eyes. Roll on season 4!

5.0 out of 5 stars GACrew still tops!, 2 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Why Sky Living stopped showing this programme i will never understand. All we get now are repeats of season 1 all the time. I have to buy all of the DVD's now, but it is money well spent in my eyes. This season again is very entertaining with some good locations such as plantations, prisons. manor houses etc.. and the activity is very good too. They still have me hiding under the covers! They visit the Ancient Ram Inn in Gloucestershire in Season 2 and that is a creepy episode involving an incubus/succubus, but i do love our history and heritage so being English am a bit biased! They should visit the UK more often. I also enjoyed the Poveglia Island episode in Venice, Italy. That was good and the GA crew also seemed to really enjoy that investigation especially Zak, but maybe for him the wrong reasons. He says himself that he and Nick had wanted to investigate Poveglia for years and according to his book Dark World, the island left him with such a lasting impression, he now has a tattoo on his back symbolizing the good verses evil that he encountered. His supposed demonic possession that he had did look frightening. They do all need to be careful at times though, even a church priest has warned them that this is a subject that should not be taken lightly. Nobody knows for certain what is truly out there and they could get seriously hurt. They have total respect though for what they are doing and just want to understand it in order to teach people better. All in all a good season and if you have a multi-region DVD player then thoroughly recommended. I am just off to watch Season 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars The first GA season, 2 April 2012

Oh i love these guys. They are so passionate in what they do, they are a breath of fresh air. I know a lot of people question their methods of ghost hunting such as the provoking, but in all fairness to them they do seem to get a reaction from whoever or whatever is out there! All the episodes are brilliant with some good activity, some of them just made me jump out of my skin especially the Former Psychiatric Hospital when the hand comes out near Zak ( you will know if you have seen it). They also like to chat with people and get stories about the locations. They seem to me totally genuine and they really care for what they are doing. No other ghost hunting show comes close to this programme, these guys are the best. The way they work together on investigations is great, and sometimes it can feel that you the viewer are experiencing every bit of activity and all their emotions that they are experiencing. It can get pretty scary at times. I do hope Aaron gets his own back one day, Zak and Nick do like to use him as ghostbait quite a lot and i do feel for him at times he looks terrified. I think even the most hardened skeptic should give these guys a watch, it may just throw a few questions your way. Whether u believe in the paranormal or not, Zak, Nick and Aaron deserve 10 out of 10 for providing such an entertaining show with what can prove to be a very difficult subject. Carry on the good work lads because it seems that maybe science may not be able to explain every little bump in the night! If you have a multi-region DVD player and are interested in the paranormal then buy this you will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars How the coolest ghost hunting gang got started, 2 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have only just watched this documentary and i loved it. This is how Zak, Nick and Aaron got started with their ghost hunting adventures and i have to say that i have never witnessed activity like it on any other ghost hunting programme ( and i have to say that i have watched nearly all of them). I must admit that i sit on the fence when it comes to the paranormal because i have not actually experienced anything myself, but i also feel that i cannot be a total skeptic either because i feel that i am being a bit disrespectful to other people that have seen, heard or felt something. I know that science can explain a lot of what happens to people and the paranormal activity that they have experienced, but surely not all of these people can be wrong can they???. After watching this documentary and all their adventures that follow, Zak, Nick and Aaron might have finally found the answers to what we have all been waiting for!!. You watch this documentary for yourselves and then the Ghost Adventures seasons that follow and then make up your own minds, but i think that you may be surprised by what evidence is presented before you. If the guys are faking anything at all, then it will be a total shame because at the moment they are the best in the business. If you have a multi-region DVD player then thoroughly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dark World - oh definitely!!!, 1 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Ever since i started watching Zak and his Ghost Adventures crew on satellite t.v a few years ago i have been hooked. They are the kings of ghost hunting. I have all their DVD's so far so just had to try Zak's book. Its very informative and it is interesting to read about his childhood and teenage years and what he went through which led him to who he has become now. His own paranormal experience helped him to try and understand a subject that i and many others find utterly fascinating. He talks about various things like different types of hauntings and how he has been affected by them, the adventures the crew have been on that have not made it onto screen, he gives advice to wannabe investigators and what they should be looking out for etc etc.... All in all a good read and what i also like about Zak, Nick & Aaron is that i feel that they are totally genuine. If they get scared ( which they do often) you will feel it too. It's like you are on the investigation alongside with them. And they will quickly try to debunk anything as well if they are unsure. They take their mission very seriously unlike some who are just out for fame and fortune. Maybe all the skeptics out there should give this book and their television programmes a whirl and see if they then maybe think about the paranormal in a new light. It has made me think twice i must say!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Is this show to be believed or not???????, 24 Aug 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I watched this over the weekend with my family who i must say are great Most Haunted fans. I personally have only watched bits of the live and recorded shows that have been on T.V with my interest really being about the history side of the locations and what you can learn about them. The investigations i must say are sometimes scary but quite humorous aswell. I know that we are being told constantly by Living TV and the MH crew that what you see is not fake or made up, but when you get to the end of Night 5 of the Halloween 2007 Live event at Plas Teg ( i think that is what it was called) and you see in the highlights package Yvette Fielding banging her foot and leg against a cupboard door before Stuart has a massive anger fit it does make you wonder???. Could it be that that was Stuart's sign to kick off or was it just Yvette making up her banging and knocking sounds again???. Maybe that was supposed to be edited from the DVD. All in all though great entertainment perfect for a cosy night in on the sofa. Just scream, jump and have a laugh at the same time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Special Features Confusion, 19 Dec 2007
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Well what can i say, those Winchester boys are rocking!!. This has to be one of the best shows since the X-Files lets hope the seasons keep coming. Mulder and Scully are back with a bang!!. As far as the special features go i think you will find the making of All Hell Breaks Loose Part 2 in the Devils Map thingy. If you go through the various points individually or play all if you wish you should find it on there ( No 22 i think). Also the unaired scenes that we have, are they included in the episodes when you play them?. There is no option to play them afterwards so am i right in saying that i have already watched them when working my way through the season?. Help would be great.
