5.0 out of 5 stars Its Brilliant!!!, 9 July 2007
This review is from: Our Love To Admire (Audio CD)
'Our Love To Admire' is brilliant. Three years in the making and it does not disappoint. Its more epic and lush than any other record i've heard in a long time. Thats all i can say really. This really raises the bar for other bands out there. Buy it now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Editors Are Back!!!, 25 Jun 2007
I've just been out in the pouring rain to buy this album so i was hoping for something quite special. I wasn't disappointed. As a big Editors fan i was aware of the standard they had to match to compare to their excellent debut 'The Back Room'. However from pressing play to ejecting the CD i heard what i believe to be a record that matches, if not, (in places) betters the other one. Tom Smiths voice has definitely improved (it was excellent before) and the ideas behind the songwriting seem somewhat more adventurous. The lyrics are quite grim but this is an album for which various deaths provided a lot of the ideas so you have an idea of what to expect.

I'm still amazed that this album recieved 2 out of 5 in Q magazine. Shows how little they know. If you liked the first record go out and get this as soon as you can. So far my album of the year, closely followed by Kings Of Leon 'Because Of The Times'. Get that as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Arcade Fire come good.......again!, 14 Mar 2007
This review is from: Neon Bible (Audio CD)
Neon Bible is one of those records that comes along once in a while and really demands your attention from the first few opening bars. The follow up to 'Funeral' is a different album, but still highly enjoyable and inspirational. Anyone who enjoyed 'Funeral' should find something to love here. They have managed to sound very unlike any other bands yet still offer a familiarity to fans of many genres. My personal highlight at the moment is 'Intervention' however i predict that this one record (like OK Computer) where my favourite track will change frequently.
