Disappointing, 23 April 2013
I remember this from when it was on in the 1970s and have always thought of it fondly, especially as I was 13 at the time. However, it is incredibly formulaic (first scene having a long discussion about infidelity and how he's never been found out), then onto the situation where he invariably becomes a cropper but never gets found out. The titillation factor is none existent which shows how far we have come in 40 years and the sexist approach to women can only be seen through a cultural and historical approach. Overall I was lookign forward to seeing this from 40 years ago, but have been left feeling let down and disappointed.
