* NO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW* So, as you can see if you look at the amazon.com and uk site, the ratings are all over the place. This is partly because new narrators were used for the audio books (many people gave one star, without even reading/listening to the book itself just because they hated the narrators so much) and partly because there are readers out there that love KMM Highlander series and only read the Fever series in the hope that it will become more like the Highlander series. This is an injustice to the Fever series itself. This book is different from the other books in the series, in that there are POV from ALL the characters. This give the reader a better insight into all the characters, which is great... but it does slow the story plot down. For the majority of the Fever readers, we are sometimes baffled, or annoyed by some of the things the characters do and say and this was a book that needed to be done/written to make it clearer for readers where the characters stand. I have read reviews where readers have said that they have 'skimmed' the book. If you are about to order this book, then by default you have read all the others... how is it possible to skim one of the Fever books? Even with a slower paced book, there is still an incredible amount of information passed onto the reader! Just enjoy the book as it stands... one part, of the best, most unpredictable and immersive story arcs, that I have ever read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like reading a zombie book for the first time., 9 Sept. 2015

I'm pretty sure that I have read almost every zombie book on Amazon and whilst there are some amazing books in this genre, there is also an awful lot of mediocre books. This was a book that was so completely different from any other zombie book out there, that it was almost like reading a zombie book for the first time. I literally had no idea where is was going to go, or how it was going to end. I'm so happy to discover that there will be more to come. I don't usually leave reviews simply because I don't feel that I am adding anything different to what has already been said. But in this case, I'm writing a review, just to try to push it's star rating higher, so that people will give it a chance. The only reason that some have given a lower rating, is because they believed it was a one off book and didn't get the ending they were looking for. For those readers who have read a lot of mediocre zombie books recently, this is your chance to break that cycle and to read a book that reminds you, of why you read zombie books in the first place.

My 8 year old daughter loves this book! She would stop every 2 pages or so, in order to tell me what was happening... she was so excited as she was reading it. This book kept her completely engrossed throughout. She even asked me, when she was only part way through if there were more books to this series! It's my daughter who is making me write this review, she wants everyone to read it!! Highly recommended!
