5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Film Ever?, 11 July 2003
This review is from: Double Dragon [1995] [DVD] (DVD)
This film is a cinematic masterpiece. It has everything you could possibly want; A-list academy award winning actors like Mike Drascosascosascosascos, some excellent and believable kung-fu scenes and the most impressive special effects in history. Also this film teaches you a lot of lessons. For instance not many people know that it is scientifically possible for twin brothers to be of different races. I think they should have had Whoopi Goldberg play their mother in order to reinforce this message.
The acting? All top class - the academy awards are well deserved.
The plot? Very cleverly done. It is so complicated that only an elite group of individuals (the producers) realise it exists at all.
The set design? Immaculately done. I really like the "druggie's dream" use of colours.
Altogether, definitely the best action movie of all time and maybe even the best movie of all time. Makes movie like The Godfather and Schindler's List look like rubbish.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for all X-Fans, 11 July 2003
If you are a fan of the X-Men,there is no way you can miss out on this DVD. The second disc contains over 5 hours of extra features including hilarious scenes with the cast massing up scenes and falling over. If you are not a big fan of the comics or films, then I advise you buy the one disc edition. However if you are an X-fan you have no business not owning this.
Some major disappointments include the absence of the two easter eggs from the first disc and the complete lack of acknowledgement of the comic book source material. There are few references to the comic and not a single frame includes that the Marvel comics sign or a picture from the comic.
