4.0 out of 5 stars Careful buying Portal, 4 Jan 2011
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Portal (PC DVD) (CD-ROM)
This is a well known and very highly rated game. Be careful if you want only to buy Portal. Portal is rated 12+ but I believe is only available, unless NOS, as a bundle with Half Like 2 and Team Fortress, these have higher age related ratings. I also believe that you have to register on 'Steam', which is Valves game authorisation system, to play the game. You may not want to do this. The current Portal only DVDs also require you to register on 'Steam'

4.0 out of 5 stars Koss "The plug" Metallic earphones, 3 Oct 2003
I have tried several 'in ear' earphones and, for the price, these are pretty good. The dynamic range is wide, many earphones just don't have the bass or treble there, these do. Ideally using these with a graphic equaliser would be best as there is a lot of volume in the mid to high frequencies, at low volume this gives a well balanced and, to my ears, pleasing sound. At high volumes especially with rock /pop music the sound can be harsh and tiring. Probably still good for classical music if you like your sounds loud. There are other in-ear earphones with more bass but these are a relative bargain. Especially good for vulcans, as they don't fall out of your pointy ears!
