5.0 out of 5 stars One of his best, 14 Oct 2012
A story filled with an array of characters from the beat period. Helps if you've been to California and have driven past Big Sur, taken in the air, smelt the forests and sea breeze, but a very interesting account into the everyday lives of the gang that hung out with Jack et al nonetheless. A journey back to the solitude of the woods in order to get away from the pressures of fame and recoonect with nature.

5.0 out of 5 stars His best album, 18 Sep 2012
This review is from: Blonde On Blonde (Audio CD)
If you buy only one Dylan album then this should be it. Full of classics but also a record of a time and place that will never be repeated. Other great albums abound but my second favourite is probably Blood On The Tracks and third would be Street-Legal - legend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, 18 Sep 2012
I wish a few of the so-called 'poets' we get in the UK and Wales would read this stuff. A true legend in the literary world and someone who writes from experience. His passion and understanding shows through every line. A great Zen-like work of environmental worship!! Probably my favourite poet of all time.

5.0 out of 5 stars The bats!, 18 Sep 2012
What an awesome book! The words, descriptions and imagery are up there with the best of them! Good film too with Hunter's friend Johnny Depp. Cult status and well deserved. A drug-fest rollercoaster of a novel and so funny, it has to be true!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great poetry, 26 July 2012
A superb collection of some of the finest poetry I've ever read. This guy is a legend but for some reason is fairly unknown in the UK. A damn shame as the more people read and understand this kind of writing the better will our world become.

Too many errors to make it past the 1 star I'm afraid. Opinion is fine if it's qualified but this has just plain facts wrong!

2.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't finish it, 7 Nov 2011
This review is from: Resuscitation (Kindle Edition)
Started reading but couldn't get into it. Just wasn't believable. Been reading a lot of new crime writers recently and this is not one of the best. Better books out there I'm afraid and once again amazed as to how this got to be a bestseller.

2.0 out of 5 stars Better books on the subject out there, 6 Nov 2011
If he worked in the city as a banker I doubt he'd care about the cab fare but... Anyway sorry, I didn't like it, not half as good as Ctrl-Alt-Delete by Dave Lewis, a real Facebook killer in there and much deeper insight into the dangers of the internet. That was very believable and a well constructed story too. This was too much 'tell' not enough 'show' I'm afraid. The characters are not great either. Murders just seemed to be gruesome for the sake of it rather than adding to the plot. Not bad for a first try though I guess. I don't want to read the sequel but wish the writer the best as he obviously is onto something with the subject matter.

One of the greatest albums ever recorded. What more can you say about one of the most amazing writers the world has ever seen. I won't say anymore.

1.0 out of 5 stars So glad it was free, 5 Nov 2011
I hate given bad reviews and I suppose some people might like this but it wasn't for me. Wouldn't have paid anything for it and only read it as it was free (thank God! Very boring, nothing happens and I couldn't care less about the characters. Sorry ;(
