Good content, not the easiest or lightest reading material (maybe that's me), but very intereting none the less.

3.0 out of 5 stars Only the metal foot, not what's in the picture!, 17 Nov. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Disappointed, as it was only the foot and not the white plastic "knee" part also. I have now had to order this separately. It would be better if this was clearer on the item description please. I'm not a sewing person, but was ordering this for my wife who is, so did not understand this aspect as the picture showed what I was expecting to get. Probably partly my fault I accept, I did get the actual foot shown and this is good, it's just a pity the description was unclear to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars New story, new characters, same great plot development from Joe..., 2 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A new story line from Joe, but one that continues to demonstrate his writing style and character development. Aside from the obvious flaws in the laws of physics involved, the power struggles experienced with others wanting to own/develop/destroy his "Olympus" device outline everything that is wrong with ultimate power and its (ab)use. I'm looking forward to the next installement, which may be a bit of a spoiler as not everyone dies....

5.0 out of 5 stars If you loved "Patriots" this is one for you...., 18 Oct. 2011
Another great "schumer-doomer" novel from JW,R. If you have read Patriots this latest book will make far more sense, as it fills in a lot of the prequel information about how the characters came about: It does stand on its own, but may be confusing, so buy the pair and read them one after another.

It is once again quite US centric, from a writing style, but does have content related to many non-US locations including southern England - with geographical accuracy which can often be lacking in other Authors' content.

If you enjoyed Patriots then you can not fail to appreciate this latest work.

4.0 out of 5 stars Patriots - a review, 2 Mar. 2009
A US centric view of a post financial crash survivor situation, following the popular survivalist "bullets, beans and band-aid" approach. Full of thought provoking scenarios and well developed characters working through a variety of problems. Some dated content and unrepresentative of a UK situation, but all in all a good read. If you enjoyed other US based survival fiction such as "Lights Out" or "Pax Americana" you will almost certainly enjoy "Patriots".
