5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product and excellent customer service from Colgate, 14 Oct 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This electric toothbrush is very light and very quiet with a timer and a brush head that has different types and lengths of bristles for an effective clean. It also has a sleek carrying case for travelling. The styling is so sleek that sometimes it's difficult to feel the switch to turn it on & off - but you can't have everything! The original charger didn't work properly, but after a quick phone call ( to a real person) a replacement charger was on its way and arrived 3 days later - superb customer service!

Cycling For Dummies
Cycling For Dummies

3.0 out of 5 stars Simplistic - would only suit a true novice, 22 Sep 2013
This review is from: Cycling For Dummies (Paperback)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I did expect more from the book. I have a few 'for dummies' and this one seems to be based at a lower level than normal.

If you have never cycled in years, if at all, then it may be the book for you. It explains what mudguards are and even that cycling off road may be more uneven/bumpy than cycling on a road. So - pretty basic!

I will not go into the contents bit by bit - you can do one of the 'read an excerpt' that amazon do so well for that. I will though say that if you already cycle a bit and know one end of a bike from another then this is probably not for you. If you are a complete novice and don't know there are different types of bikes then it probably is suitable for you.

2.0 out of 5 stars May be better just to use a knife, 19 Sep 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I expected more from this product. It is basically a row of very sharp blades attached to a handle. I expected it would roll and have more control over the cutting. This is basically several very sharp blades that cut. You need to pick up the blade and cut several times to cut anything anywhere near equally.

As per others, I can't work out how to open it to fully clean it and am nervous of catching myself on the very sharp blades.

Overall, I cannot see what this is bringing and its easier and actually quicker with a decent sharp knife.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good powerline product - easy to set up with the right router, 19 Sep 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I am a fan of powerline products and have several in my home and also in the apartment where I work from in the week.

I want something that is easy to set up and works without drop out etc. I am pleased with these tp-link ones. They were easy to set up and the 'copy password/ssd' function seems to work well. I am not a fan normally of this type of functionality but was happy with its functionality.

If you have the correct type of router - WPS set up - and want simplicity with good functionality then get these. There are plenty of other types but these work well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product and easy to use, 13 Sep 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
It may seem odd at first having a stand for a phone but it is very useful.

I use it with an iPhone 5.

I use it,
- when taking photos
- when using the phone as a clock/alarm clock
- when using the phone as a radio
- when using it to watch video

It is light but very sturdy. I have a gorilla stand for a digital SLR so knew it would be well built and sturdy. It is very simple to use and a good flexible product. Very useful when wanting to position it on an uneven surface. Good product and better than any alternative.

Elle By Beurer HLE40 Warm Wax Hair Removal System with Two Heating Chambers
Elle By Beurer HLE40 Warm Wax Hair Removal System with Two Heating Chambers

4.0 out of 5 stars Effective but takes time, 26 Aug 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This hair remover was easy to use and the results were effective.

The warm wax applicator is neat but took half an hour to heat up so not good if you are in a hurry! It is a useful product if you want to avoid going to a salon but with the same results.

It was more effective at removing hair compared to cold wax strips that you buy in the chemist. That said it is still a bit painful pulling off the strips - but no more than others.

Overall worth buying if you like the results from a hot wax but it is a bit time consuming.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad but feels a bit cheap, 12 Aug 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a home phone built around the Android operating system like you get on Samsung phones. It is an interesting concept but I am not sure if it really works. I like the concept - one phone thta syncs with my contacts list, can be used to check emails etc.

Positives
You can add apps (applications) like a mobile but it seems you can't add Skype. This is a bit of a limitation.
You can use it as a wifi radio via the Tunein app - this is pretty good
The sound is not bad, its a bit quiet but not bad

Negatives
It feels cheap and too big, they should have made it more like a mobile in feel and quality and less like a plastic home phone
Skype missing - see above
Charge does not seem to last that long and sometimes does not charge when on the stand

Would |I recommend it as a home phone? conceptually yes but BT need to sort the build feel, let the skype app be added and make it more like a mobile, it then would be better

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - best electric toothbrush I've ever used, 12 Aug 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I have used electric toothbrushes for several years. I have always used Oral-B and been pleased with them. This brush is though miles better.

- it revolves and vibrates at a great speed and makes you feel your teeth are being dentist cleaned
- the head size is smaller and feels just right, you can get to all parts of your teen at the back
- speed stays constant throughout
- good handle, easy to hold
- solid, well built finish throughout
- quick to charge and solid charger
- extra 'travel charger' is very useful

Why not 4 stars? it comes with the 2 pin type plug, you need to get a razor adaptor to charge it in a normal socket. This should be supplied. Secondly, there are 3 brushing types - gum, tooth and 'white'. It may just be me but I can't tell the difference between them. Just have fast and slow if you want speeds - rest seem to me to be pointless.

Overall, it may be expensive but it is excellent. Dentists are very expensive so get a decent toothbrush and it will pay for itself. If you have the money then I'd certainly recommend this one.

Remington EP7010 Corded Epilator
Remington EP7010 Corded Epilator
Price: 19.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the pain...., 7 Aug 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Never having used a epilator before, this review compares the Remington epilator with using a high quality ladies razor.

The good:
No need for gel or soap
No razor nicks or rash
Doesn't need charging

The bad:
The cord could be longer
Initially, it took a few days to finish the bikini area because …

The ugly:
It hurts like hell - but I guess pulling hairs out by the roots will make your eyes water.

However, I don't think I'll be needing any replacement razor blades again as I'm getting used to it and the pain is subsiding with each use. Very impressive.

4.0 out of 5 stars Simple but good product, 17 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A really simple product. Holds my iPhone in landscape or portrait. Use it for holding my iPhone as a clock and alarm clock. Also good for holding it to watch Skygo.

Solid made product, light and small - just stick it in your pocket.

If you want a simple, well made stand then look no further!
