101 Things You May Not Have Known About Hurling
101 Things You May Not Have Known About Hurling
Price: £3.64

5.0 out of 5 stars ANOTHER WINNER FROM THIS IRISH SPORTSWRITER, 11 July 2012
This e-book is every bit as good as John's 101 Things You May Not Have Known About Gaelic Football. It quite simply has to be a must have book for all GAA Hurling fans no matter what County you support. It is full of many fascinating stories which cover the history of the Liam McCarthy Cup like no other book has done so before. You can hardly buy a decent sports magazine today for what this little gem of an e-book will cost you on Amazon. Absolutely fantastic value for your money.

101 Things You May Not Have Known About World Wrestling
101 Things You May Not Have Known About World Wrestling

5.0 out of 5 stars THE IRISH RULE THE RING, 29 Feb. 2012
Well, for the first time in the history of WWE Ireland has a two time World Champion and the winner of Royal Rumble, the Great White himself, Sheamus (Stíofán Ó Fearghaile) from Dublin. I love Sheamus's no nonsense all out warrior-like fighting style and I love Paul White's brilliant WWE e-book. Paul has a tribute to our Irish WWE Superstar in his book and many other fascinating entries about professional wrestling. Paul, all I can say is that Sheamus is the King of the Ring and you are the King of WWE Authors.

The RMS Titanic Miscellany
The RMS Titanic Miscellany
by John D.T. White
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars THE TITANIC BOOK FOR 2012, 16 Dec. 2011
2012 is not yet upon is but unquestionably regardless of whatever other book you see available to purchase charting the story of the Titanic then this book is already the Titanic Book of 2012. At first I was attracted by the book's lavish front cover, a magnificent image of a magnificent vessel, but as soon as I began reading White's RMS Titanic Miscellany it was clear from the outset that he exhaustively researched his material. This superb work is not a mix-match of other Titanic books. Far from it as White's Titanic book contains so much new and original material. I dip into this book all the time reading segments of it at a time and there are times when White's fluidly written work has got me into trouble at work when I am told to draw myself away from it. But it is such a gripping book it is a bit like taking a child into a sweet shop and telling him that he can't have any of the sweets on offer. The author has come up with an amazingly detailed book. His writing style is crisp and clear and his text is extremely descriptive. There is a plethora of information about Titanic, and indeed her two sisters, that I have never come across before. I would not be surprised if White's Titanic book was not the centre of a new documentary about Titanic in the lead-up to the centenary of her early demise.
