5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, 18 Oct. 2006
This review is from: Blue Cotton Skin (Audio CD)
Jessica Petracovich has one of the most beautiful voices you will ever hear. I can't recommend this cd enough. Buy it, please. The songs are well crafted, the music makes you float away and the vocals are flawless. This is quite simply the most beautiful album i have ever heard.

5.0 out of 5 stars An all-to-often overlooked rock classic., 3 Mar. 2005
The Colour And The Shape is the Foo Fighters best album. Although the album doesn't have the success of There Is Nothing Left To Lose or One By One the songs are of a better, rawer quality. The legendary self-entitled album that preceded The Colour And The Shape was all Dave Grohl's work, although a triumph, it only really hinted at greatness. The colour and the shape of this greatness is shown at full strength on this record.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gothic/Industrial and electronic jewels., 3 Mar. 2005
This review is from: The Way of Curve (Audio CD)
A 2 cd set taking the listener on a journey through Curves fourteen-year history. The first cd comprises of the most popular singles it defines their rich career in a nutshell. The second cd offers rare and unreleased material. The first cd offers an education for new Curve fans or people unfamiliar with them. The second cd offers the real jewels. The cover of Donna Summer's I Feel Love, with its sexy echoing gothic vocals show how intoxicating Toni Halliday's vocal talents can be. Aphex Twins's mix of Falling Free really stands out as a classic remix and the final song Sinner leaves the listener with a feeling of melancholic warmth.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for Slowdive fans., 3 Mar. 2005
This review is from: Blue Skied An' Clear (Audio CD)
This album is a tribute to Neil Halstead's song writing abilities. This is a two cd set. The first cd is Slowdive covers by various artists signed to the Morr Music label. All the tracks are beautifully done. Classics such as Waves, Dagger and, of course, Blue Skied an' Clear are given an updated sound. Most of the tracks at least live up to the originals and I would argue some of them (e.g. Waves by Isan) surpass the originals. The second cd is examples of the artists work. The highlights on the second cd are Ms John Soda's Solid Ground off the No P. Or D. album and Isan's My Last Journey.

5.0 out of 5 stars A post-modern pleasure., 3 Mar. 2005
This review is from: Drukqs (Audio CD)
Drukqs is a fragmented and staggered masterpiece. Drukqs takes the listener on a fast-paced transient emotional joyride. The album moves shamelessly from twisted bitter acid beats to more traditional ambient melodies in a style that forces the listener into the role of a ball bearing in a pinball machine. One minute it coaxes feelings of quiet reflection and in the next minute it catapults the listener to levels of seemingly chaotic anger.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cracking album., 3 Mar. 2005

This review is from: Music for Elevators (Audio CD)
This is an album that grows on the listener. On first listen I considered it a mediocre album but after a few listens it has become the favourite of all my albums. George Sarah of THC arranges the beats and melodies beautifully and Anthony Head's vocals have a mature and enchanting quality not to be missed.
