1.0 out of 5 stars Dreadful, very slow, 28 July 2011
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This game is so badly put together. It is probably the slowest game I have played on my PC for many years. Avoid it and get a decent game like Bad Company 2.

2.0 out of 5 stars Hmmm, it's okay but not the greatest, 24 Mar. 2011
The biggest problem I have with this book is it just seems slow and plodding. The world is dry and lifeless and too much time is spent worrying about things I think we'd all like to forget. Most of the people made me want to hit them they were so annoying. Saying that, I though there were some good parts and the basic quality of tjhe story was decent. I've started to read the Twilight Saga, yeah, I know but it has to be done. Also reading the new Dark (Vampire Winter Saga) series by Bethany Knox. The Winter series shows a lot of potential and is only 99c/99p!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good quality presentation but very average book, 5 Nov. 2010
The quality in terms of artwork and presentation in this book is excellent. Sadly the content is lacking in detail and follows the fiction approach as opposed to the hunter or survival approach implied by the title. As the other reviews say, it is great to ready about a fictionla battle. I want to know about how to fight a zombie or what to do on day one and this is the kind of material best found in titles like Max Brooks ZSG or the Thomas Bros How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amusing and informative for both UK and US audiences, 1 Nov. 2010
An international book designed for both the US and UK audience. The anecdotes at the start of each chapter are hilarious. If you are an angler or just somebody that loves fish you'll find much to amuse you here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Started off fun and still is, 1 Nov. 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game ages ago, playde it for a bit then gave up. Recently I've reloaded it and foudn that there is actually much more depth than I realised. Obviously it is base dheavily on space combat but unlike most game it feels balanced in a realistic way. The humans suffer in all but expansion speed, it is almost like watching Babylon 5 Earth warships trying to fend for themselves.

Good graphics and well supported by Kerberos.

Dune
Dune
by Frank Herbert
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome book, great series!, 3 Sept. 2010
This review is from: Dune (Paperback)
Dune is without a doubt one of the best works of fiction ever written. In terms of scifi it must be at the top of the list. The characters are details, the locations vivid and the story is packed with plot upon plot. Though the many sequels and prequels are average to good in quality this first book is epic in eveyr sense of the word.

Read it now!

3.0 out of 5 stars Ripping yarn but not the greatest, 3 Sept. 2010
This is certainly a gripping yarn but the detail is seriously lacking. the description of the Foreign Legion units leaves much to be desired and this detracts from the authenticity the book claims. Don't get me wrong, the story is a classic adventure. I just think that with a little more effort it could have been something really special.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great first FF book, 3 Sept. 2010
This was the first FF book I ever bought back in the early 80s. At the time I didn't realise it was a game as well as a book but after reading a few pages I was hooked. The illustrations are great and as a child I found myself re-reading the book many times. Definitely a good book and one you should own!

5.0 out of 5 stars A quality title that examines many of the key arguments, past and present, 3 Sept. 2010
A nicely produced book that looks at both sides of the argument and attempts to find if there is any possibility that the landings could have been faked. Some of the most popular questions such as the flag, visors and camerawork are looked at as well as the political and economic will to make it work. A rare gem in the shadey world of conspiracy and denouncement. The book does come down in favour of the NASA argument but does place a good deal of scrutincy on the so called wisdom of the day.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bought this after hearing it was on the Crossbow Cannibal's amazon wishlist!, 14 Jun. 2010
Crazy I know but this DVD was listed in the Daily Mail as being on the Crossbow Cannibal's wishlist. I don't know if he ever watched this but it is worth buying just for the weird link. It is a low budget production by informative nonetheless. A good 4**** I think.
